What Power should my new superhero have?

This has been on my mind for a while now, I've wanted to start something of a webcomic just for fun and to get the creative juices flowing. I've planning on doing a superhero comic and I cannot decide on the power that my hero possesses. I don't want him to be like Superman: an incredibly overpowered freak, just 1 power, 2 maximum, and I'm also not interested in the whole unlimited strength thing. I'm thinking mind control, matter manipulation, super-speed, regeneration. So, what are your ideas?

EDIT: seeing as people have been posting some rather silly ideas, I'm not suggesting they are stupid but are merely not taking the thread as seriously as I'd hoped, I just want to say that any silly ideas like useless powers are not welcome in this thread. Sorry but I do intend on making a rather serious comic.

EDIT II: I've been doing a little drawing and Background on my character. I plan on uploading my initial drawings and such in a while but here's the character's personal profile:

Hero name: The Quantum Avenger
Birth name: Jason Lee Crane
Age: 27
D.O.B: 18/6/1982
Power(s): Matter Manipulation, Mind Control
Weight: 157 lbs
Height: 5'9"
Build: average
Hometown: Kensington, London
Personal info: Only child of parents William and Emily Crane. Upper-middle class upbringing. Attended private school from the age of 5 where he was seen as an outcast by the other boys for his "peculiar" abilities. Graduate with an MSci in Physics from Imperial College London, at the top of his class.

Make your superhero a ninja.

Or make someone else a ninja (the ninja will be the most epic person in the comic by default)

Just as long as your story has a ninja somewhere, ninjas make EVERYTHING better.

Maybe there is a company of ninja-like mercenaries trying to capture him. The story behind it would have to be that the mercenaries' employers were conducting experiments on our hero when he escaped

Give him/her/it a really precise foresight of the next three seconds. It's not enough to be genuinely useful but makes him/her/it nigh-impossible to surprise and really quite good in fights.

He could have cyborg ninja parts implanted in him as part of the experiment. That would be cool.

It would have to go along with the tone of your comic. For example if it was a comedy, you could have a guy with a split personality who has telepathy, so he'd always be arguing with himself. Or if it's more serious, you could have someone who has some kind of immunity to either disease or injury and put him in a bad situation (homeless, lives in the Third World, etc.).

No More Heroes. In fact, I think you should make the character like Speed Buster.

Hilarious. Though I have few realistic suggestions.

I'll give you a scenario. The hero, let's just call him Mr X for now, has just escaped from a testing facility in what seems to be the middle of nowhere, He is lost, confused and not yet in full control of his power. He wearily stumbles onto a dusty road in the way of a speeding truck. The lights daze him and the sound of the horn breaks his concentration and in the heat of the moment, he forgets common sense and doesn't simply dive out of the way.

It is at the last second that his power spontaneously acts. Does he:
Merely jump or fly over the car (enhanced acrobatics/flight);
Destroy the car with laser vision(like Cyclops);
Take the impact of the truck and it bends around him (not super-strength but nigh-indestructible);
make the truck disappear and reappear out of harm's way or simply uses psychic power to move it around him (matter manipulation/psychic power);
or what do ylou think he should do?

Control peoples emotions.
Bad guy threatening a civilian's life? make him feel really guilty or laugh uncontrollably so he pees his pants.

He gets hit, dies, then respawns (-1 life)...

Enough with the fucking Grey Fox references. We get it. You enjoy a good ninja.
Stop.

OP, what you really need is someone to have some sort of absurd abilities, but nothing too over the top. Or, you could go over the top. I know I would.
Give him regeneration of his left arm only. And make him a righty. Hah.

But seriously, give him the power to shapeshift. Just limit it a little so you don't have another "Alex Mercer" on your hands.

Like Animorphs? shapeshift into any animal they've touched before but only for an hour, after that they stay that way perfectly?

Give him the ability to know the answer to any question. He has no idea what the question is but the answer always comes to him. *Walks in* "No *Sees roommate proposing to girlfriend* "... Shit" and many other socially awkward but potentially world saving circumstances. Sure, it means he has to lead a normal life as a "support" hero but when he has an urge to phone up the big leagues to tell them some code that's popped into his head, he can feel all warm and fuzzy when they disarm the nuke. Think of it as foresight, only you just know how to get out of the situation, you don't have a clue what's going on.

Great books, by the way.
