We've all played that character or seen the archetype. You risk life and limb of you and your friends to put a halt to whatever catastrophe put the world on standby. You've put a stop to the terrorists, ended the war (nearly) single handedly. Killed the demons, aliens, mutants.

But what is that all worth to you? what is your prize in it all? The dust has settled and the fact of the matter is if you had not done what you had, it would all be gone or the world would be no where near where it once was and everyone more or less knows it.

So the simple question is You've saved the world what do you want/ think you deserve.

At the moment Id accept mind one of those floating cities from the trailer of the new Bioshock. Im bad with heights so I couldnt see myself getting much use out of it, but it'd be nice to have and it would definately be a conversation starter...

Or if I want to be boring and sensible, id take more money then I could ever spend and use the rest of my life trying to.

Parades and accolades, pehaps my birthday as a international holiday, I hate working my birthday.

The downside is after doing such a feat, life there after would become very mundane.

Depends on why you saved the world... did you save it to get something or save it because it was the right thing to do?

At any rate, I'd expect a prestigious University to be named after me, and maybe a fast food chain... oh, and a card that says I never have to pay for anything ever again...

I'd expect some sort of legacy but if i consciously made the decision to save the world of my own free will I wouldn't expect anything material, just gratitude. Providing i get to save it in my own, lasers and jet propulsed dolphins style that is.

If i was being forced or asked to do it i'd expect to be set up for the rest of my life

GET THAT GODDAMN BANNA PHONE SONG OUTTA MY HEAD!

Actually, knowing me, I'd just find my AK, sit down on the nearest piece of exploded fortress, stick my gun in the ground, and quietly wait to die. Unorthodox, I know, but you can't put a price on a happy, peaceful death.

In the event civilization found me before I croaked, I'd ask to get away with any crime scot-free for one day only, at which point I would go to Orlando, Florida and burn Disney World to the ground. Then I'd get back to writing my book.

To experience true love, no, really; that would be the ultimate prize. After saving the world you're likely to have looted any material-goods you might want or need. So the only thing i guess would be appropiate is true love. If possible it would also be cool to reach Nirvana, but that comes easy if you're in a relationship based on the chemical reaction of love.

To be the first person to get to play the finished copy of HL2 episode 3. I would need to save to world to pay for that.

A nice house of my choosing and never have to pay taxes, pay off all of my student loans for me, and $50k a year. Not too much to ask for, right?
