I bought InFamous 2 Ultimate Edition from PSN only to have Sony turn around and give it away for free the following week.

Not to mention the countless other games I bought from PSN only to have them go free later on... just InFamous 2 is the most prominent example because it was for money one week and free the very next... almost like they planned it *sigh*

Moral of the story: Do not buy anything from PSN if you subscribe to PS+

As far as video games go, their are only two that truly deserve the honor of my biggest regrets. The first one is BRINK, with that game turning out horribly.
I feel for you on Brink, I was a big fan of SD after their previous titles, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, and Quake Wars Enemy Terrtitory turned out great, but they really screwed up Brink, especially on the PC. There was literally no support for servers or admin control or anything, was big shame really because the game had promise.

As for what else I regret buying? Farcry 2, the best thing about it are the flame effects and that's it, other than that all you do is drive around from one side of the map to the other and get attacked by crazy people in jeeps, and that's the game summed up.

My Wii. I bought one because some of my High School friends had one and I wanted to be able to relate on games.

I also regret purchasing the college education I'm going through right now. Peer pressure, basically.

MW3, wow was that game terrible. The single player was ever so slightly entertaining at some points but was mostly boring as hell.

The multiplayer deserves special mention as to having literally no good maps. At all. They are all bland, uninspired, mediocre and really, really tiny maps. Oh the spawns were still hilariously broken, perhaps even more so.

I liked MW2 as well. It has the most character of all the CoD games simply because of how broken it was. Infinite care packages, the run really fast glitch, the Commando lunge, the never need to reload glitch... Need I go on? It was so fun.

I have a feeling Pentakill Sona was an... Annoying purchase in LoL. I love her default skin to bits but hey if you own a skin why wouldn't you use it? Hopefully the next Sona skin will keep her default wavy hair but add something else.

There will be a new Sona skin right Riot? Of course there will be...

I wouldn't buy Sandstorm Katarina for the same reason. Her hair is awesome. Why would you ruin that?
Pentakill Sona is one of my favorite skins in the game! She's totes metals.

I bought a car radio for £150... I was then in a car crash before I managed to get it fitted... The receipt was lost in the crash, and although the radio was salvaged, when I got my new car a year later, the radio doesn't fit it...

The box was heavily damaged in the crash, and now I am stuck with the radio... I will find a freind to donate it too at some point!

Pretty much all PSN retro titles. After moving about with the PS3 and "buying locally", I've collected a bunch of horribly censored/mutilated/synchronized titles that are unplayable or unenjoyable - no warnings involved.

So, I've reverted to buying physical copies of PSX/PS2 titles, using emulators, which allow me plenty more freedom and get me what I want. The PSN bought stuff cannot be returned or traded back for the proper copies, so I've given up on that. Too bad.

Fallout 3 and Vegas. I hear they're supposed to be soooo amazing and I was more than let down. I feel I was herded into a false sense, couldn't return them either since the store was on a going out of business sale, but I didn't lose much money.

Soul Calibur V

I traded in IV for a version that was inferior in every aspect.
It seems to me that the Soul Calibur series has gotten worse with each entry, but then the only ones I've played are II & IV so that's hardly a decent sample set.

OT: As for myself, I would say most recently Risen. The desc. on Steam made it sound much better than it actually is. The combat isn't very good and neither is the method in which you advance/acquire skills. See Yahtzee's review of Risen 2 and you'll get a basic idea of what it's like, because it's pretty much that only without all that stuff about pirates. Good thing I got it on sale.

It's not the worst game ever, but it's the worst game I ever played. I expected it to be just like Battlefield: Bad Company 1, only longer and with a better weapons system.

Then my heart was broken.

captcha: bitter end. Indeed, captcha, indeed.

Dead island for me...i was so damn excited..but...damn it was so disapointing, good thing about having got it so close to release though is that there was that there was some sort of shortage with the game because the publishers didnt think it would be so popular, so i only ended up spending about 5 euro XD

EDIT: i actually have a worse one, Too Human, bought it for 50 euro, literally took it back the next day and i only got 5 euro back for it...just so rediculous.

Oh my there are a ton of purchases I regret. xD

I collect comic books and action figures as a second job, especially rare ones, but there are a lot of times when I end up purchasing something that I thought was highly valuable thanks to previous research, only to find out that it really wasn't worth as much as I had hoped, or that it was damaged in some way.

And of course video games. Damn you Magna Carte 2...

Diablo 3. I had never played Diabloe I or II so I wasn't a fan of the series. My friend who had loved them as a kid convinced me to get it so I could play with all my friends. Not my type of game and I probably played for five hours before quitting.

Two Worlds 2, it's an ok game, but I seriously seriously wish I'd saved my money for something better.

I found a platformer game called Cid the Dummy on sale on Steam once. It was only like a dollar, but it was awful. I love a good platform game, but this certainly was not one.

I got the Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD game because Tony Hawk Underground 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. I have a friend who enjoyed it, but I cannot stand it. You can blame me for expecting it to be too much like some of the later ones, but they did a weird mix of keeping it classic and adding new, weird things. THPSHD is probably the most disappointed I've ever been in a game.
