Wood Elf archer and dagger on the side. I hear they are powering up archery in Skyrim, which is good because I always felt outclassed in Oblivion when I tried it out.

Once a Nord, always a Nord.

Even when it doesn't make any sense, like in Morrowind.

Female Argonian, jack (jill?) of all trades, master of...er...all trades.

Direct descendent of my Oblivion character - she's master of all 4 guilds, she's saved the Shivering Isles AND the Nine, saved Cyrodiil, bought and renovated every house, maxed most of her skills...I put a lot of work into her :D

She's also a direct descendent of my Morrowind character, though I never managed to make her very accomplished before I completely lost track of what the hell I was doing and abandoned the series forever but not really :p

Every ES game I've played my first character has been a female Khajiit acrobat/thief calling all the way back to Daggerfall where I made one with the red-haired bob haircut, went into the inventory to put on her ebony dagger I got from the emperor, took off her shirt by accident and spent the next few minutes looking at her tits.

I'm not proud of it, but at least I can cop to it, though they switched to the more animalistic Khajiit in Morrowind onward... And started gluing their skivvies on.

But that's what a thriving mod community is for. (That and inserting fetish clothing, but that's a rant for another time).

I'll be playing as an Argonian battle-theif as I have with every other Elder Scrolls game.

Basically a sneaky thief that steals everything not nailed to the ground in heavy armor and a longsword and shield.

I dunno, I just like Argonians, they just look so much more interesting and varied than the standard "Here's an elf with pointy ears, here's the northern guy with pale skin, here's a slightly darker tinted guy". Instead "here's a kickass motherfucking bipedal lizard thing with a bunch of colors on their face to look totally friggin' badass." Now that is a character I'd like to play as!

Iv'e always been the furious lunatic with a sword in games so I'll be going with a warrior type character. But I also like to train other fundamental skills to add some versatility. So mostly healing magic and archery to go along with my swords and heavy armor skills

I happily played an Altmer in Oblivion because their ?my liver will explode at any second? skintone was easily circumvented by the rich (some might say excessive) control granted over it.

Assuming this, for the sake of consistency with the setting, will not once again be the case without modding, I'm next inclined to a Breton, but I'm not crazy about their Dragonskin racial. I might go Nord for the first time, after all.

I'll play a breton/redguard/nord/dark elf female illusion based rogue/assassin. The race will depend only on which one looks more attractive while i make the character :[]

I've always played nord before tho.

Maybe because I'm such a Drizzt fan, but I always have been dark elves and will continue doing as such in this game especially since they look so badass, as far as class goes a stealthy archer with conjuration is a surprising combination you sneak attack and then summon a giant monster while you pick 'em off

I'm probably going with a Dark Elf, looking at a combination of stealth and magic, use bows to pick them off from afar then dual daggers for close quarter combat, throw the occasional fireball, etc.

You know, I haven't thought to much about it. This is the first elder scrolls game I'm going to play, so I don't know anything about the lore. To me, they all look almost the same except for the lizard people. I'm sure they all have their own distinctions but... I dunno.

Every time I pick up a fantasy game I play the closest thing to my stock fantasy character I can make: a female trollish paladin of Uhnf, the god of blunt force trauma.

I almost always start with a custom class Nord heavy on the physical and sneaky shooting action almost completely ignoring magic.

Second I go full stealth with an argonian, you never know what you'll miss underwater...
