It's very simple and I'm trying not to misguide people. It's not supposed to be some game of epic proportions, here is my current design layout: The game is a 2d adventure game that controls like LIMBO (sidescrolling/platforming/etc.). The game doesn't need to be that long, perhaps between 45 min. - 1 hour, but the idea is that it helps the player to relax. The game also gives you many choices which creates different paths to travel along (creating replayability and making the game different each time you play it). I'm creating it using GameMaker 8.1 pro. A lot of people think that gamemaker is iffy on quality but I believe that it suits my purpose so I'm sticking to it. The game will (most likely) be freeware, available for download for free on the internet. Plain and simple: it's just an experiment. It's not something I want to go down in history for making, but I want to see if I can use seemingly irrelevant events (like, say, watering a plant and having it grow into something beautiful) to relax people, if that makes sense. I appreciate your interest in the game, and if you/anyone else has more questions, I'd be glad to answer them. Again, it's just an experimental game, it probably won't be the next cave story but that's not the point I suppose lol.Ando85 said:What kind of game are you making with what kind of programs? Sounds interesting I would like to hear more about it.AzureCastles said:What things relax you? Give specific examples of sights, sounds, feelings, etc. that relax you.
I am making a game that is designed to help people relax and overcome anxiety and depression and the idea is to make the player/the character traverse areas that relax him/her.
