My first time posting a topic, so don't be too harsh if I mess up, alright?

So escapists, recently I've noticed something interesting. Whenever I play TF2 I generally end up playing a Medic in order to keep the team from consantly turning into a pile of BLU mush. Whenever i play L4D2 i always just happen to have the last med-kit or bottle of pills. Even when i play something as simple as COD5: Zombies i always end up haveing to revive the rest of the team becuase they thought holding that grenade was a super plan.

Seeing a pattern? In almost every team-based game I play I'm useually some sort of Medic, An important role but sadly one that often goes without thanks.

Anyway my question for you today escapists is what role do you generally play when on a team? Are you a Medic like me? Are you a Sniper? The only one who can actually use the rockets and grenade effectivly? Please share.

Definitely medic or support. It's easier for me to get into the game, and I like contributing to my team.

I Flank & start Sneaking, And occasionally sniping. I love firing on an enemy that hasnt seen me.

But i dont sit in bushes like the bad minded fuckers do on CoD MW2.

I usually play as a soldier on TF2 and am a little aggressive but subdued where Ill go out and attack but not run in for a suicide run but about half the time I play around as the other classes which is pretty much how I play most games mostly aggressive and then I try different tactics.

Edit: For COD I usually have an assault rifle or occasionally Ill use sniper but that's pretty much it.

The one that gets pissed off and realizes that no public player wants to do anything but try to rush into a fight in a 1v10...

That's about when I go online and start looking for competitive leagues. In that case, I prefer the two-man team situation. Like 2 Scouts in Team Fortress 2 are extremely flexible and powerful. Or an AWPer and an AK/M4 team. It's nice to deal with just one other partner, there is less Synergy and multiple teams of two can get a lot accomplished.

It depends on the game and who else is on my team. If it's...lets say...Halo ODST Co-Op, I'll usually be the sniper. If it's WoW I'll be the tank (or healer). If it's Counter-Strike I'm usually the ninja because I sneak behind the enemy or the sniper. In MW2 I'm usually whatever gets the job done.

Anything that involves close range or melee. If the game in question doesn't have a melee class, then I pick the fastest or strongest class and melee.

In tactical games I flank, and usually call out the most enemies. Recon, I guess. Combined with good reflexes that usually nets me a lot of kills. It's only when I play deathmatch-type games when I lose that habit, and that usually doesn't benefit me or my team. That's why I mostly play search and destroy, and team leader.

When I actually do play something besides Guitar Hero or Rock Band online, then I'm usually the teammate who is completely useless, no matter what I play as. =P

Strangely, I usually swap between some sort of heavy weapons tank or sneaky stealth class. Polar opposites, but while playing heavy weapons I usually try to be stealthy and pop out where no one's looking.

depends on game, mw2 im generally a support where i throw in flashbangs ahead for my guy(s) to run in or i claymore nicely behind us just in case a stupid fast ninja tries to get us from behind, i tend to get quite a nice killstreak going this way

on other games i talk alot more and end up going in pairs with someone and we observe different chokepoints..so kind of a recon/mid range shooter

on halo i just go all out, tends to work, check corners with BR and always have the nades ready

I do that thing no one else is doing. So I do whatever is needed, mostly flanking or healing.
