What RPG should I Purchase?

So my friends at the escapist, recommend me a great rpg for Xbox 360 to purchase. No JRPG's.I have Morrowind, Oblivion ,Fallout 3, and New Vegas.

Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and The Witcher 2 seem to be popular here.

Mass Effect is always good. Then again, it's not really a rpg... Yeah, I got nothing beyond that. I'm more of a table top guy when it comes to role playing.

And Dragon Age: Origins is my favorite Bioware RPG.

Mass Effect or Dragon Age... Basically it in terms of quality games that aren't A)JRPGs B) not in your list.

Mass Effect would be my immediate choice. It's a different style of RPG to Bethesda's games, much more story and character driven at the cost of some of the sandbox-style gameplay.

There's also Dragon Age: Origins if you're into a more tactical/semi-turn based combat style than Mass Effect's third person shooting.

If you're looking for Bethesda style RPGs only however, you're pretty much out of luck. A few companies have tried the same kind of forumula, but they have never really succeeded.

(See: Two Worlds and Risen, but be warned: they're pretty bad, especially in comparison to The Elder Scrolls and Fallout games)

Personally, I would recommend the panzerfaust 3. Its got good anti-tank capabilities, long range with good accuracy, and its German.

Unless you're talking about the other RPG, in which case, Vampire the Masquerade was pretty fresh.

Majority vote for me. Mass Effect (and after that Mass Effect 2) and Dragon Age (the first one is better in my opinion). I've been debating between PC now or Xbox later for The Witcher 2. It looks good either way.

Go retro and pick up a couple of Xbox 1 games. Knights of the Old Republic, Fable the Lost Chapters, there is a bunch of good RPGs that you can still play.

But avoid KOTOR2 on consoles. It is only worth playing if you have the pc version with the restoration mod.

I'm sick of this.

It's worse on consoles, for sure.

But it's still damn great.

You can be almost as tactical as PC with the ring menu.

Consoles just lack "move to point"...making bottle-necking strategies useless as all hell.

i would say, like many other people Dragon age origins, and both mass effects.

Also, if you can get past the fact that Fable: the lost chapters is an old game, Have a look at that.
