or still to this day? After that slender man post stirred up some really disturbing images from my childhood I got thinkin'. Mine would be that myth about this bride who drowned herself and huants the water, didn't swim alone for a long time. I can't remeber it in full because my dick cousin told me it when i was 5/6. So what scared you?

The Spice Girls.

For some reason they reminded me of wasps when I first heard about them, and terrified me even more than wasps when I first saw one of their music video's.

Aliens. Like from the movie Aliens. They freaking creeped me out. Now though I think they are amazing. But then...I kept thinking there was one in the roof of my house. Also I was always freaked out by the keys that you stick in the back of clockwork toys. Probably because of Alundra 2 where said keys were jammed into your back turning you into nothing but clockwork zombies.

Predator. This was before I had seen the second film and realized that killing children in not kosher for them.

Something that has happened only 3 times in my life. It started at some point before the third grade, when I was watching a movie at my friends' house. After the movie was over, we turned the lights back on and I looked down to find dried blood covering the entirety of my legs, from knees down to ankles. After I scrapped the blood off, I would find just 2 or 3 simple cuts, but the truly weird thing is: The blood had creeped above the cuts.

This happened once in Wisconsin in the way I suggested, once in Indiana, just randomly one day while I was playing Pokemon sitting in a computer chair, and once again while I was sitting at the dinner table.

I still don't have a clue how it happened...

The original Halloween film when I snuck downstairs as an 8 year old and watched it from behind the sofa. I still haven't watched any of the Halloween films to this day!

Also, when Bill Bixby's Bruce Banner used to turn into Lou Ferrigno's Hulk used to creep me out. I think it was the neon green contacts and the spray green hair. I would have been about 4 or 5 and used to cry my eyes out, but couldn't stop looking either.
The Hulk no longer scares me on TV :)

Just my bullies who tormented me, which is quite a rational fear if they actually chase you every damned day after school, hunt you like a rabbit. I feared nothing else, I laughed at movies like Jurassic Park and Predator even as a wee lil' lad of 6-8.

I used to have a recurring nightmare when I was a little kid, about 4. I severed head would come through the wall and float slowly over to my bed. I remember never being able to take my eyes off it and it would always be literally a few inches away from my face before I woke up.

Weird, still dunno why I had it in the first place.

The Scream masks.

Since the guy that wore them always wore a flowing black robe, chances are, the only thing you'd see coming out of the darkness would be a floating, bleached-bone white face of a man in perpetual torment.

Oh, and furniture winding up in unorthodox places. And refrigerator magnets.

^this.

The BGM at the time didn't help either. I -still- hear it in the dark sometimes.[/quote]

So true, only made worse by the person standing right behind me doing a freakin freddie cruger impression. Still the "game over" at the end of saw was pretty scary.

Its kind of hard to explain but it was sort of a feeling that scared me. The feeling of working so hard for so long for something only to have it destroyed and having to start again.

I can't really put it into context, nothing like that has ever happened to me but it gives me a bad feeling when I think about it, again sort of hard to explain.

That and those rabid giraffes from that Ren and Stimpy game on the megadrive.
