Deep water. If I can't see the bottom then I'd really rather not have anything to do with it. After all, there could be anything down there.

Also, spiders. Specifically, touching them. If there's one on the wall then I'll just be very, very, very aware of it's presence but generally fine. However if I look down and see one crawling up my shirt... yeech. I get deadly calm until I've gotten it right the fuck off. Then I quietly freak out.

This one time when I was thirteen I woke up with on my face. Bear in mind that I live in Australia. Not fun.

Anything in a certain situation probably, but I really came here to say how I love having nightmares they're like an adventure. Really fascinates me what "scares" me in my dreams, guess the only one is really my teeth falling out as I'm having fun in most of my scary dreams. Can't really influence a dream much where the main thing is your teeth fallout. :/

Not a whole lot thankfully.

I am pretty damn scared of burglars. Whenever I hear an unexplainable noise at night, I become certain there is a house intruder and wait a good 5 minutes of complete silence before concluding it was the cat or something. I'm pretty scared of getting into fights, since I reckon I'd suck at them. Spiders don't phase me much though, I find them more fascinating than scary. If I find one wandering my home, I'll never kill it, I'd pick it up and put it outside.

I'd like to think I'm a pretty brave guy.

Sharks.

I live in one of the most rural parts of england miles away from any sharks, but fuck me if they don't scare the ever loving shit out of me Great Whites in perticular but also Short Fin Makos.

If anyone made a game where your swimming around in open water with a shark stalking you i think i would shit myself simply watching it.

Hello, fellow chums!

I don't care if isn't Halloween anymore! I'mma do a fear thread!

It's about 11 MT/US and I decided to come downstairs to play some Dishonored. Now, my bedroom is in about the middle of a creepy hallway. That hallway scares the fuck out of me.

There's no reasoning behind it, just the fact that it's a long hallway with a door (leading to a bedroom) at the end of it and since the light is in the middle of the hallway, it's all dark and sinister at the end. Though, hallways at night just freak me out...somethin' could be at the end of that thing..waiting...watching... ._.

So, Escapist, what scares you? Muahahahaha. haha. -cough-
Well if I was freaking you out all you had to do was say. Jeez. Don't have to be a dick about it.
[sub][sub]I only wanted a little bit of blood, gawd![/sub][/sub]

OT: Fucking bugs man! In fact, anything that creeps and/or crawls.
Hey, don't get angry at me! I had to Google "Creepy bugs" to get that stuff. I'm doing a service!

The thought that for all my effort and work, that in the end it will all be for naught, because I'm hardly even a speck in the grand order of the universe that shrugs off any grand accomplishment.

That and babies.

Zombies. They scare the living hell outta me. If I watch a movie or play a game involving zombies I'm guaranteed to have some sort of nightmare that night, even if I wasn't scared at the time. I don't get it though, I'm not scared of any other supernatural creature. Oh and spiders, I hate hate HATE spiders.

In the real world? Lightning storms, snakes and (to a lesser degree) spiders.

Beyond that? Self-sufficient alien breeding organisms and body snatchers. Facehuggers, headcrabs, Flood infection forms, those flying skinflaps from Dead Space - basically any creepy critter that either seizes control of your body or uses it to gestate embryos. Facehugger's especially horrifiying for committing actual face rape.

I have no fear of heights, darkness, snakes/lizards/geckos, mice, confined spaces, zombies or anything else really, I can comfortably brave all those things and even enjoy some of them (I love heights!)...

...but just keep those fucking bugs away from me.
Mainly the really ugly big-ish ones like roaches/cicadas/crickets...and bees, probably because I got ambushed by them when I was really small.
It's only when they grow more than 2-3cm when they disgust the fuck out of me and make me want to kill them with a rocket launcher, most *tiny* bugs like ladybugs/ants I actually find rather cute.

Any body of water so deep and murky that you cannot see the bottom. Combine with basking sharks for added excitement.

Severing a major vein or artery. There is a picture related to that, but I won't link it because looking at it caused me to pass out twice and mess my face up on the floor. Just thinking about it now is making the blood rush to my head. Ah...toasty.

From most scary to least:
Spiders (only once they get more than 1/2 inch in size, fear also increases with thickness of legs and body)
Insects (not flies or ants, the more legs and the bigger they get the worse the fear, typically only freak me out at more than 3/4 inch in size)
Heights (more than 4 meters, only if suspended above, more than 10 meters if on the precipice)
Fear itself.

Drowning. Been pulled out of the water blue-lipped more than once (I was a kid with lots of swimming lessons behind me - first time I was strapped to a kneeboard that flipped and second I got caught up in fishing line.)

Drowning terrifies me so much I won't go belowdecks on any ship or boat, and I have to be confident of being able to swim to shore from wherever I am. Otherwise I get pretty damn nervous.

Otherwise, some sort of apocalypse/disaster. Not so much scared for myself as for my parents and pets. My mother is disabled so she wouldn't be to get away and my dad would stay to help her. And my cats... are cats. So unless I saved them, they probably wouldn't make it either. I'd probably look forward to some event if my parents and loved ones weren't at risk.

Other than that? Working for the next 20-30 years is a terrifying thought. Getting up early for work every morning, slogging through 8 hours of work, coming home to shower and cook dinner, watch tv/game for a couple hours, go to bed, wake up and do it all again... That just makes me want to scream. I've been doing it fo years now, but the thought of continuing to do so is so god-awful it's hard to get out of bed.

... I need a new job.

Thanks. That was an image I didn't need.

OT: People. More accurately, socially interacting with people I don't know very well. Or even just large groups of people.

Also unexpected change.
