Well I am saying the point isn't "Here, take this back because I don't want it." but more along the lines of "HEY, remember this shit? Yeah...yeah. I'll just leave this here."
That would be a malicious attack. If passive-aggressive.
Do that and suddenly you're the douche. But hey, your life.
Rate that douchebaggery on a scale of 1-10 for me.
On my own subjective raging-doucheometre that's about an eight.
But I have a sort of seething hatred for passive-aggressiveness.
Then what she did, and said to me, is like, a 46...:p

But I am confident and secure enough in my own feelings.
That's just your brain being stupid. It happens to everyone.

You might be over her romantically, but doing this screams you aren't over her emotionally.
If that's the case I will find out the hard way. But I feel fine now.

Right, so you respond in kind, there's a good idea. Not stupid at all.

Certainly not hypocritical or anything, she's a passive-aggressive ***** and you're mad at her for it so you go ahead and act like a passive-aggressive *****. I see absolutely nothing wrong with your childish revenge scheme.

Am I making my point here or should I go get the graphs.

Get a little drunk and post an ad on Craigslist to see if she had any other bad break-ups in her past.

If yes, recruit them to control the very future of her love life.

If no, who cares? Throw the crap out.

Either throw it in the trash, or give it to a friend of hers if she won't see you. Because they count as "gifts" then she doesn't have a legal claim on them, so I don't really know why you would give it back to her. If I were you I would just toss it out and move on. Returning it just seems petty, childish and a bit desperate from where I am sitting, especially since apparently you split on bad terms. But hey, don't let a stranger stop you from what you are gonna do anyway.

Put it on your bedside table, make love to another woman, and occasionally glance at the picture, making "Awe yeah! Are you catching this?" faces. It will make you feel better.

Alternatively, if you really liked her, you could destroy it in a sentimental fashion...

Tie it to a rock and throw it in a river!

Burn it, smear the ashes all over your face and have a pillow fight with yourself!

Put it in a paper shredder, print 100 sheets that say "I'm moving on," shred them, mix up all the shreds, and stuff a teddybear with them before giving it away as a gift to a small child...

You know, mature things...

Glad you decided not to burn it. If it causes you pain I wouldn't keep it. Truthfully your best bet is to just walk to the nearest garbage can that is not in your home and toss it in. Much like the girl it will take a little time to get over, but eventually you will get over it.

Guess I can just throw it out then. There's a nice ditch outside town here, it's 3am and I am bored...

If you've truly got no positive feelings about the relationship, just quietly dispose of it, doing anything more just gives the memory of her more power of you.

Giving it back is possibly the worst thing you could do; she doesn't want anything to do with you, and you should try to be the better person by respecting that wish. Forcing your way back into her life, even (especially?) for a single act of petty retribution would just make you look like a huge asshole.

Honestly, if you think it would really make you feel better in a symbolic sort of way, then go ahead and burn it.

You should let me tag along and I'll just stand in the background.

I'll be honest with you.

I recently found some photos of my last romantic partner, whom I loved deeply and whom rid of me in a very arbitrary manner. I got rid of them, because in all likelihood -- she doesn't care.

Do yourself a favor. Get rid of it and move forward, you'll find a better person down the road.

But I am getting rid of it, eventually, maybe.
