What game are you the proudest of having completed 100% and why?
Simple question that opens up a great opportunity to brag about your accomplishments.

What comes to my mind is Mirror's Edge, particularly because of the time trials and speedruns. It took actual skill and training to beat the courses in that game within the time limit.
Shaving milliseconds of your time until you finally reached your goal was really satisfying. To get that 100% you couldn´t really consult an online guide, you had to do the whole thing yourself.

So what's yours?

Fallout 3.

While there is no real 100% for it, I did virtually everything. Saw almost every questline ending across multiple playthroughs, explored almost except for a couple at least twice, all achievements, all special loot. The only thing I haven't seen all of is Random Ecounters, but there's less then a dozen of those that I haven't gotten.

As far as I can call it, I did it all in that game.

Dante's Inferno.
I got it because I loved the poem, so when I picked it up, I knew that I would have to get everything. I have yet to beat the game on Infernal, but I have everything else.

Are we going by game completion or trophy/achievements? At any rate, I have none of the former and only one of the latter.

For me it has to be Metal Gear Solid 3. When I saw that I got 100% I smiled for three minutes straight. :p

100%'d Pokemon Silver, every single damn pokemon, urgh.. never again, I really should try it on the newer ones, but I can't imagine ever getting all of them again.

recently I 100%'d.. or should I say 200.6%'d (before glitching) Symphony of the Night, although that is not really that difficult, especially if you already know all the secrets.

The one I really want though is Just Cause 2, I'm 60 odd hours in and I'm still only 81% haha. It will be good to look at that map screen and see nothing but green ticks when I get it though.

Oddly, beating Halo: Combat evolved campaign was quite refreshing and challenging at the same time.

None, I rarely finish games, last chapters always seem like dead ends, so why would I bother?

Oh wait, I frequently sweep 100% of the mines.

Assassins Creed 2

1000/1000 Gamer-score. Hardest one was that 'Kill 10 dudes in one fight without getting hit', until I realised that smoke bombs were the answer.

Mass Effect 2

1550/1550 Gamer-score. HAHAHA Insanity mode was cruel. Some boss fights were borderline impossible (Derelict Reaper Core). Tactical Cloak saved my bacon too many times.

Fallout 3 and Oblivion

The only other games I've gotten all the achievements in. Nothing too difficult.

GTA: San Andreas

Took me all of 50 hours. Completing some of the flying and driving school challenges were nightmares.

Red Dead Redemption

Got 100% in the SP game. Not too hard, except for that damn knife game...

Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3

I don't remember much, but I know I pulled off both when I was a kid.

Valkyria Chronicles. Getting every single medal in the game was a challenge, but I did it.

In fact, if it weren't for the ability to save during battle, I don't think it would have been possible. Especially for the Expert skirmishes.

The original spyro the dragon on PSone, because that's the only game I've ever 100% completed (when I was seven).

I only go for 100% if
1. it's a quality game I don't want to quit when it's over and
2. the achievements were closely tied to the game-play so I didn't have to go out ridiculously out of my way to get them.

There have been some good ones- eg. The Orange Box games- that I have played multiple times, but just haven't bothered to go 100% because I found the achievements outlandish or unnecessary, like escorting that goddam garden gnome and placing it on the rocket in Ep2.

Two-and-one-honorable-100% achievements:
Arkham- a brilliantly designed, self contained game world with engaging puzzles and terrific variety. Gimmicky ones like catching your own batarang weren't too hard or time consuming to get
Mass Effect 2- the revamped combat mechanics made it fun to return too. Finishing it on Insanity forced me to explore every tactic rather than just blasting my way through and hoping my team didn't die too often. Thorough use of the squad powers also made the power-specific achievements easy
Honorable:
Red Dead Redemption- the "100% achievement" rather than every actual achievement*, but dammit, I'm claiming it anyway! Beautiful game with engaging challenges, although killing the bears & cougars with my combat knife tested my resolve. The world just invited me to be a part of it and I hardly ever used the quick travel mechanism so it was a pleasant chore to execute the survival challenges as I went.

*I don't do online multiplayer and besides the servers were ghost-towns by the time I eventually bought it anyway

Ditto to that. Normal, Heroic, and Legendary Badges on every Halo level...still have the save data...makes me smile.

RDR was gratifying, because I got to do all the cool side quests and such, but God of War III is my proudest.
Playing that shit on God was so tough, but I did it, finally.
The Challenge of Olympus was even easier than that

I would say Assassin's Creed II, but that was more a matter of time than of skill.

I wish I could say Oblivion, but I have knowingly avoided completing a few quests (i.e. Shrine quests) and my characters in that game have all invariably been lost after a few dozen hours of playtime. Plus I never bought most of the DLC. I suppose if we're going based off of achievements I've 100%'d it, but even then it would hardly be a great accomplishment.

This leaves two Lego games and Call of Duty 4. While I would never say I'm terribly proud of completing Lego games, I do feel I should get a f***ing medal for bothering with the last half of content in Lego Star Wars III (those who've played it to completion know what I'm talking about).

So I suppose the game I am most proud of is Call of Duty 4. In a way I actually do feel a bit of pride in having completed the Mile High Club achievement, but it's the sort of pride that is easily diminished by remembering that it's more a testament to how big of a failure I am at life.
