What stereotype do you dislike the most?

The obvious race, religion, and sexual orientation stereotypes aside, I'm gonna say "You are shy and play video games so you must have no friends, are really nerdy, and ultimately are a fail of life and therefore should not be interacted with" Well maybe that's just because I've been hearing that all my life, but i think its a horrible thing to judge people based on what they like (unless its murder or animal cruelty or somethin like that). I like playing video games or I like dressing a certain way or I like a certain type of music. Why does that have to make me any less of a person?

I hate 'ppl who spll liek dis'.

It doesn't take much effort to press a few more buttons to spell correctly, how hard is it.

I hate the Canadian stereotype, we aren't actually like that! Sure we are nice, and in some places it snows, but come on!!
Please. We all know you ride a moose to school and wear beavers on your feet to keep warm.
I refuse to respond and give in to what you want...

HILLBILLY!!

Dammit.
I live within 30 minutes of the Canadian border in Bellingham, WA. And my dad's from Cardston. I get to make Canadian jokes if I want to. ;)

Would you perhaps like to share some ketchup flavored Ruffles?

Weird. I quoted you, but then the post didn't show up after I was done, so I double posted by accident. Well, I guess it just demonstrates my skill at the inernets.

While I appreciate your intentions, the fact that you merely stated something instead of asking a question sort of undermines your point.

I too get frustrated when people can't be bothered to capitalize, or use proper spelling. The only time it's okay to misspell something is when it's for humor or if English is not your first language (or you're still in grade school). Use a bloody spell-checker.

People who firmly make their opinions before they try something... (My friend who hates Street Fighter, the 'Atheist' who uses it as bible-bash cover, people who support a political leader when they have no knowledge of their policies, ie. a few Obamamaniacs)

True, could've been put better. I suppose it's not really a stereotype either, but if the issue of people who can't even be bothered to make an effort to use the English language correctly was ever going to be brought up, I think this thread is where it was going to be.

Unless of course somebody feels like posting a thread about how annoying those people are. I'm sure we can't be the only people who get frustrated with it.

i hate the whole your fat and its your fault,
no, it is not my fault, i eat a 2000 cal diet for 2 years.
genetics is not my fault.
I eat a 6k cal diet and I weight 145. I'm annoyed that it takes so much to make me not waste away and die - it'd be much cheaper to have a slow metabolism.

Maybe I should give up exercise - that ought to lower my grocery bill.

That said, in almost EVERY case fat people have no one to blame but themselves. I hardly think that genetics can explain the increase in the number of gotesquely overweight people I've seen in my life. Some people really do have legitimate difficulty keeping weight off. I have a friend who exercies just as much as I do (we are on the same fencing team afterall) and though he is quite a bit larger than I am (in terms of height and muscle mass) he consumes less than half the food that I do and still struggles to keep weight off.

I'm not a fan of people who support a position without giving it the thought it deserves. I'm generally mistaken as being political in some fashion because I enjoy pointing this out to people, but in all reality I just like trolling the self-righteously ignorant. It doesn't change anything but at least it's a lark.

I think this is what I am going to have to go with. I can somewhat deal with the others, but this whole "Anti-American" thing can set me off, especially since most of the people have no idea what they are talking about (they just do it because that's what everyone does). Ughh, and they always pull the whole Americans are all fat and eat McDonalds, or how we are all rednecks or some shit. I think all together, I just hate people who put everyone into one group based on a few.

Hey! I would gladly meet up to share a big ol' bag of ketchup chips! I live about 20 min away from the American border, about 45-60 min from Bellingham!

Honest answer? The stereotypes I dislike the most would be the ones that apply to me :p Has less to do with me not wanting to be do pathetically insulted and more with not wanting to be judged on what people assume I do.

I take your anti-america and raise you anyone who jumps on the bandwagon and hates a political party because it's the in thing to do!

(I'm all for getting more people in the young democrats, but at least know what some of the party's core beliefs typically are or why we are better than republicans!)

I hate the stereotype of junkies are all untrustworthy bastards who support their habits by mugging old ladies, robbing their friends and that they leave dirty needles in kids playgrounds etc.
I hate the stereotype of the French being cowardly & unwashed.
I don't like the stereotyping applied to Americans as all being loudmouthed, ignorant etc.

Douchebags! as far as I'm concerned a douchebag is someone who tries harder to look good than be decent. Often seen with white hoodies and gelled hairstyles. Also Douche glasses. Douchebags should be considered incredibly irritating and should not be approached even by trained professionals.
