I think my personal power to never have would probably be one from Fables.
I can't remember the character's name but the power is being able to see every bad thing a person's done. Imagine being able to simply look at a person and see every horrible thing they've ever done. Everything, literally everything, even surrounded by Buddhist monks it would be impossible to not hate just about everyone for their past.
The character frequently gouges his eyes out...

So yeah. That.
If I got a power, definitely Dorian Grey Style Immortality, living forever with an out if I get bored.

thing is would that really be concidered a superpower? i mean if your fingernails could not break or fall of it might be concidered one.

I say ANY power that couldn't be controlled, or at least dampened. That would be terrifying.
Only if the power could be detrimental in some way. Like, permanent invisibility would suck donkey balls, and like someone mentioned (it's on the first page), being able to obliterate something (like that blue-penis guy from watchmen (I know the name, but I don't want to spell it wrong)) would be disastrous if there was even a small amount of non-control (like getting angry at a friend and killing them with an errant thought).

OT: Anything negative that cannot be completely controlled. I mean, creating a skittle three million light years away wouldn't really be bad even if you couldn't control it. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? Seriously. In three million years some poor astrologist might go "WTF! Skittles?", but beyond that, not much bad could happen.

Worst though would be something destructive, like setting things on fire, or disintegrating things. Anything where a single loss of control would result in horrible destructive and fatal events.

As for just power in general (because there are people who, when given power, get horribly corrupted). I'd like to think I could resist becoming corrupt, but I wouldn't want to find out if I didn't have to. So while something like telekinesis would be great in and of itself, I'd be worried that I might abuse the power eventually ... you know, start 'playing God' as people say.

The power to destroy the world.

I get pissed and the world explodes, and there's me hanging in space going "FUCK!".

The ability to turn invisible without being able to turn my clothes invisible, too.
so you would rather not have anything than the ability to become fully invisible if you just take your clothes of? you can always just put them back on before you turn visible again. it's way better than not having a power. (now this is ofcourse if your not permanently invisible (like the invisible guy from league of extraordinary gentlemen)

Even some non-destructive ones wouldn't be the best thing in the world... like you said, invisibility, or things like super-hearing or other enhanced senses. Or mind reading. Like the story of the guy who turns everything to gold with a touch? Sounds good in theory, but ended terribly in practice.

I meant I would still be dead but the power I have would switch.
A bad one would be to have my head turn into the air head symbol after I eat an airhead like in the commercials

Super strength.
by the laws of physics it would not work well, first off, if you try and lift something heavy your hands will go right through it since it's so much force being concentrated on a small area, second, involuntary muscle reactions (sneezing, hiccuping, sexual stimuli) would be disastrous.
This really depends on HOW much super strength. Spiderman strong? Probably not so bad unless someone arm wrestles you.. Goku strong=everything i touch brakes (including my bones)

And I would not under any circumstances want lasers to come out of my eyes (blinding and you need to wear super glasses)

Well actually think about it like this: "Alright, I got everything lined up, I can see where I'm going and there's nothing bloc-MOVE OUT OF THE WAY PEOPLE! Finally, now let's just bamf for a moment...alright, I'm good to g-wait...I feel a bit short." *Looks down to see they teleported a foot too low* "...Well fuck. Okay, I'll just teleport out." *now has stone feet*
If your teleport automatically moved anything out of the space you are about to occupy that would be awesome. Because you could teleport into an enemy and explode them :D

well as long as you can controll it so you can choose not to see everything bad a persons done you could make a pretty good living on solving crimes. ofcourse it will be a slightly anoying power to have whenever you get a life partner, could you resist not checking what horrible things the person you love might have done.. : p

imortality's not so bad eighter, atleast if you can choose when to die. or will you just keep on existing past everything has gone?

Super Weakness would be a good start. Super Ineptitude, Super Silliness, Super Shrimp Saturdays, Super Salad...hmm, going off topic; anywho, take the term 'super', and instead of applying it to something with positive effect such as 'strength' or 'endurance'--attributes that pertain to skills we inherently have and improve upon in life (I do anyway)--replace them with bad things that we don't want, like 'brain tumors' or 'cerebral palsy' and such. After all, I'd really hate to have Super Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

Well there are 3 that are equally terrible, in there own special way.

1. The ability to unconsciously (and unwillingly) produce pheromones that attract members of the same sex.

2. An uncontrollable midas touch

3. The ability to emit deadly radioactive particles. Without being immune to the effects of radiation.

wait that makes no sense? so what is the power then? you switch the power when you die makes no sense since when you dead you can't really use your superpower anymore..

also don't know if the air head symbol thing really would count as a superpower, just amking up something wierd/stupid does not really make it a superpower, it would be the same as ssaying cancer would be a bad superpower to have.

Also for anyone just making stuff up you should check out the law of ueki, there people have lots of wierd superpowers, the main char can make trash into trees.
