All the Super Speed haters don't know about my Required Secondary Powers

I love the idea of super speed, or at least the ability to perceive things at a vastly accelerated rate so I can have godly reaction time. But then again, doing Judo leaves one with a healthy obsession for personal acceleration.

As for me, I'd go with the ability to alter memories or control others, especially if I can change my own. The sheer mindfucking that kind of power does to your morality and personal perception of free will is monstrous, not to mention how inconsequential it makes your relationships with other, or any personal achievement. That and Omnipotence, you can keep it. I'll stay sane.

So... we see the kinds of threads asking what kind of power you'd like if you had powers quite often. They're very frequent. In fact, there's already another recent one out there right now.

But what about the opposite? It just occurred to me that no one ever really touches on that. And so... I made this thread.

Tell me what super power would you not wish to have for any reason? Be it useless, stupid, lame or whatever the case may be?
The power to... to... to turn... green???? Um, now I just feel awkward.

Immortality to the point of never dying period. Life would just get boring after a century or so. Plus it means you could never have a family knowing that you would sit there and watch them age and dye...

I'm agreeing with super strength, as posted:

Invisibility, because I just know it would end in me getting hit by a car because the driver couldn't see me. Or something along those lines.

The Midas Touch seems pretty shitty, or the even worse Skittles version.
Skittles Touch would be horrible. At least you could sell all the gold stuff for heaps of money, get some gloves and mae them gold, then just wear then everywhere so you don't kill someone. Skittles are 10x worse I'd say.

OT: Probably my own invention of X-Ray vision. When you activate it and look at something, it just makes ut invisible, so anyone else can see through it too.

I'm going to go with the power the girl from Misfits had, anytime someone touched her all they could think about was having sex with her and couldn't resist that urge. And as soon as they let go they forgot all about it.
. . . why would that be bad exactly?

"EHGADS Catwomen has trapped batman. Who will save us?"

"Never fear, the Attracting Touch is here!"

*touches Catwoman* Enter clip from batman and throbbin.

"Thanks for saving me Attracting Touch, SUPER HIGH FIVE"

(DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUN)

. . . i see what you mean. High fives would be pretty bad.

the super power i wouldn't have at any time ever. . . Either Being The Thing (Fantastic Four) or the power to light on fire.

Second place would be Meltman. WITH THE POWER TO MEEEEELLLLLLT!

(Interesting enough, your non wanted super power would be a compliment to supernaked man.)

I would never, under any circumstances, want the ability to read minds. Even if you had perfect control over it, and didn't have to worry about being overwhelmed by stray thoughts, you don't want to know what everyone really thinks of you all the time. All it would take is reading someone's mind at the wrong time to irreparably damage you relationship with that person. Add to that that I doubt anyone would ever like you reading their mind anyway and...

Just a bad power. Would only ever be good to cheat at poker.

Assuming that immortality is a super power, that one. I can't stand the thought of it. Unless everyone else in the world had it too.

Invisibility. If you're invisible, you're also blind, after all...

Also, clairvoyance. I'd hate to know the future, it'd make everything really boring.

err, assuming it is not controllable, x-ray vision. it would just be a pain for everything other than its very limited uses. i couldnt imagine a life without the ability to see as i do now.

I think the midas touch effect- with anything other that the ability to turn what ever I touch into babes- would be horrible.
