The power of spleen or invisible boy from that movie, theirs are the power to projectile fart and to turn invisible, when nobody is looking at you.

I think most of the examples here aren't powers people don't want, they are powers they don't want to go wrong.

How about the ability to "see" sounds as colors like that deaf chick in the last season of Heroes? Assuming it didn't come with the ability to break shit without or bring people to where you want them (that part would be cool [You WILL come to my youtube channel]), I would want my vision blocked by pretty colors every time someone says something.

Meh.

A superpower you wouldn't want sounds like a curse. So...

Immortality would be the one I'd hate to have, you know, the variety where you can't die, but you keep aging and your wounds try to heal normally. Would be a nightmare.

The pirates of the carribean "Aztec gold" version of immortality.

Cool parts:

Freakin' IMMORTAL
Turn into badass skeletons when the moon is out

Bad parts:

Never ending hunger, thirst, and other bodily needs.

As much as I want to use barbossa's badass "ghost stories" line, the bad outweighs the good.
If I was Barbossa I'd just drop by and pick a few coins up before trying anything dangerous. Since he can just turn it on and off as he pleases(by returning the coins), it doesn't sound like a bad deal.

immortality would suck, imagine how bored you would get. Also after the universe implodes there would be nothing to do

You know it'll happen maybe 2 days before it's released.

Ability to read minds.

You'll end up reading everyone's minds at the same time!!!
I MEAN THAT WOULD GIVE YOU MORE THAN A HEADACHE!!
An average person would lose his sanity.

Immortality as I'd hate to outlive all my loved ones, as well as having to constantly get used to new technology, most of which I'd be unable to adapt to due to the nature of evolution.

I dunno, the ability to delay Duke Nukem Forever sounds like a pretty crappy power to me.

OT: The power to travel through objects. Sure I can go through walls (probably, I wouldn't be a physical object and thus would not be effected by gravity or other forces) but I'd lose my clothes whenever I did it.

the power to ejaculate fire....lol

in all seriousness probably mind-control, it'd be fun for a while but it'd take all the fun out of people

I'm going to go with the ability to self-destruct. I'm sure it has a useful application, especially in the heroic exit moment, but you just know it's going to go off accidentally when you don't want it to. Like when you sneeze.

Can you imagine living your entire life knowing your next sneeze could be your last?

There are other moments of sensory overload which tend to lead to involuntary actions too. I'll leave those to your imagination.
