What take away do you eat at? What do you think of Mcdonalds?

After reading like 3 posts at that "Meat eaters should kill for their own food" thread, I was wondering "Do so many people actually like Mcdonalds?"
I've eaten at Mcdonalds before, and it is terribly oily and mank. I'll admit, there was a time when I used to go to Mcdonalds and eat the veggie burgers a lot when I was young, but they stopped making those and the chicken burgers are crap. I swear their chips are 50% oil.
Now I live in a highly Asian area, with loads of take aways, and I love them loads. I especially like how cheap they are ;). £8 for 2 12" chicken tikka pizzas, and the chicken fillet burgers are amazing too (trying to decide which is the cheapest/best at the same time, at the moment it is the expensive one where a chicken fillet burger is £2.50, but worth it).
EDIT: Forgot to add a poll, but I can't edit that now never mind.

What I'm more curious about, is it more common for people to refer to such places as "take aways"? Around here places like Mcdonalds are just "fast food", and there is nothing more specific than that. I assume "Take away" is the same as "take out", which can apply to to any number of places and is usually used in regards to the service rather than the type of place it is.

And yes, I try not to eat it too often due to what I hope are obvious reasons, but Mcdonalds is awesome.

I don't touch the place, at all. It's not that I think it's useless I just can't stomach the stuff they serve, not when there are much better alternatives.

Personally, I can't stand the taste of McDonalds food. McCafe is okay, but I do my best to avoid plastic food. As a kid, I was pretty ambivalent towards Maccas, but never ate it because of food allegories. But then I heard about a story where a third grade class, I think here in Australia, did an experiment where they got a totally home-made burger and one from McDonalds and put them in a glass case. Within three days, the home-made one was completely inedible, but the McDonalds one still looked and smelled fine. Then, the glass case was put somewhere and forgotten. Over six months later, at the end of the year, the classroom was being cleaned out and they found the case with the burger in it. It still looked and smelled exactly like it had the day it had been bought. Can you imagine how many chemicals are in those burgers? The whole thing swore me off all McDonalds food for life.

Some lazy days I give myself the luxury of ordering a pizza or Chinese food, but it's rare, once a month perhaps.

As for McDonalds, fuck that place.

The best takeaway I've ever had was a box of noodles, from the appropriately named Noodle Box. Obviously it wasn't just noodles, there was chicken, cashews, baby corn, satay sauce; they stuffed the box so full the food sprang out when you opened it. I'm assuming that it was quite healthy.

But I still love McDonalds. Tastes fantastic, in my opinion. So does KFC. Subway's OK, there are only a couple of subs I actually like. Red Rooster has great rolls, though I usually find their chicken to be a bit dry.

I haven't at McDonald's consistently for about 4 years now, and I don't miss it at all.

That said it makes a pretty good post-movie night snack.

I despise fast food and only go to those places when in an extreme hurry to feed my son or if dragged along with someone else. If given the choice, McDonald's and Burger King would be the last places I would go. First choice would be Sonic for thier drinks.

The only carry-out eatery I visit on a semi-regular basis is a place called Baja Jacks. Awesome nachos! Actually have never eaten anything from there I didn't like. Also I will very rarely snag some carry-out chinese from somewhere and I'm always open for pizza dilivery!

On lazy sundays when I don't feel like cooking, I like to delight on a hawaii-Pizza.. nice, unhealthy, greasy goodness.

Otherwise, the Subway I walk past on my way home will ruin my wallet one day, I can tell..

[Edit] Oh right, McDonalds.. meh, its okay-ish... a cheeseburger or two on the fly are nothing bad.

I only eat take away when I'm pissing drunk, which I rarely am.
At all other times, I avoid fast food joints like the plague, because it's not proper food.

And about Mcdonalds: I don't like it. Don't like the brand and Ronald McDonald scared the sh** outta me when I was younger.

Not a HUGE fan of McDonalds, but it's cheap and the smaller burger meals can be a quick lunch if I haven't prepared anything.

If I want FAST food, it's Maccas (McD). Fuck Buger King/Hungry Jacks, your burgers are NOT better than Maccas and frankly your "new burger" lines are just ripping off popular new burgers at Maccas. PLUS you have fucking Pepsi, ~I <GOD-MUTHA-FUCKIN-DAMNED> HATE PEPSI~!

If I want a choice of a decent sit-down/takeaway meal, I hit the local cafe` a click-an-half (close to a mile) down the road and get Chicken Schnitzel and Chips for lunch or dinner.

Mcdonalds is to me what Satan is to puritans.

Alright maybe that's going a bit too far, considering 6 months ago I bought some fries from them. I have to admit that when you're in town and want something relatively filling, cheap, warm and easy to access, Mcdonalds can help you out.
Still....they use factory farms, destroy the environment, exploit workers, brainwash kids and crush the smaller businesses.

For what? A pile of unhealthy food that doesn't even taste good in the first place! (Those fries I've mentioned? They quenched my hunger but I did feel a bit sick for a few minutes or so).

So Mcdonalds should be destroyed for the good of the world.....and then we should destroy Burger King, KFC, Wendy's, Starbucks, and while I'm in fantasyland I wish for a pony made entirely of onion-mince pies.
