Why do people worry so much about the personality of a politician and not their policies.
because this is america and more than half of us lack the intellect expected of a 5th grader.

try to explain modern economics and the whole middle east situation to a fifth grader. go on, ill wait.
I could find a 5th grader to explain it in an essay. Then again I have the advantage of living in Australia. Getting that joke out of the way it would hard for anyone to be able to explain them as it would probably take in a lot of factors not only recently but far into history and it would probably take a lot of time to explain by which time the situation would have changed and the cycle would have continued. That's how I see it anyway.

Because often a politicians personality is reflected in his policies (by which I mean their real policies, not the ones they talk about on the news).
I didn't mean those parts of their personality. I meant other parts of their personality like what they eat etc.

Because everyone knows polititians are liars, and will not do half of what they promise.
This means that the election essentialy becomes a personality contest.

Because they don't have to think or do research on whether or not they like their personality. I cringe everytime I watch the debate's with a friend and they sya, "that's a nice tie", or when people vote for a candidate based on their abilities to give a speech and not what that speech was about.
Personally, I'd be all over a class around election time about both candidate's policies and what they mean.

So he agrees with Representative Murtha's comments about Western PA (my area); that it's racist, redneck, and afraid of change? Is he equating racism and fear of change with patriotism and being god-fearing?
He accidently grew a brain and realised the two were linked?
