What the hell were you thinking? Were you thinking?

I was like 6 or 7....so I guess not. I didn't really know anything about the game and didn't think to look anything up...I was like HEY LOOK SUPERMAN! and bought it...

Mark of Kri, worst game since E.T. in my opinion, but one thing came out of it; I haven't bought a game with out at least hearing about it or actually seeing it in action since.

im very random when it comes to what games i like, but i gotta say batman AA, the fighting flow is good, and the story isn't bad, but something about the half stealth/fighter game just doesn't appeal to me at all, i ended up hating the game because of it, i can't quite put my finger on why, but it just ended up pissing me off most the time so stopped 5 hours in and re-sold that for a good copy of mass effect which im half way through at the moment =]

Really, Darkest of days. I got it like a week before Yhatzee did his review for it, and got it for the same reason he got it.

So many of you have awful taste.

Anyway.

Army Of Two. OK, it came free with the PS3, but I still didn't have any fun with it.
I bought Army of Two for my 360. Why, I do not know. It sucks, hard.

That and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Incredibly glitchy at the best of times, unplayable at the worst.

farcry 2, i was at the store with fourty extra dollars in my pocket(this was when i went to the US by the way...) and i was looking over what games they had to see if there was anything good, and i see farcry 2 just sitting there priced at 40$, so i decided to get it since i remebered hearing positive things about in the past and how it was so effin great
and then when i get home and play it, i find that its total shite, but, i decide to give it another day thinking that it may get better, well turns out i was wrong, after a good amount of time playing it i find myself asking myself why im still playing this rubish instead of something better, like tetris...
but in the end i just said "bugger this, im exchanging it for something a lot better", and thats how i came to own Burnout Paradise

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for PSP.

WTF WAS I THINKING...
It was an impulse buy because I wanted an FPS...biggest mistake I've ever made...
It was like the developers didn't even care to finish the game, they got bored and released an incomplete glitchy game with a crappy storyline and absolutely no character death. When the main character died, I laughed...and it was intended to be a sad moment.

Metal Slug Anthology
What I was thinking: "hey, it's cheap and it'll probably do me well do try the famous-ass Metal Slug series."
What I think now: Waste of money. The games aren't bad, they just weren't what I was looking for."

Bubsy 3D
What I was thinking: "Hey! I heard this game is bad! I should pick it up and have a good-ol' MST3K riffin' time with it."
What I think now: Pretty much this. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSPtSEIlp8A]

Frank Herbert's Dune - I still regret paying money for this game. Terrible in just about every way.

Left 4 Dead - It was fun initially, but man did it get stale fast. Then instead of additional content, Valve decided to screw this and just make a second L4D. Worse purchase ever.

Left 4 Dead. I used to have this rule that "I will research a game to the end before deciding whether to buy it, unless it's made by Valve". That rule is now five words shorter.

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Dark Athena. I bought it and thought I'd play the remake of Butcher Bay first, which was showered with praise when it came out...and then I realized it's crap. The stealth is crap, the combat is crap, and even the controls aren't very good. Vin Diesel's gravelly voice does not a good video game make. And the graphics don't save it either. Overall, I might as well have thrown my money out the window and saved myself the trouble of buying and installing it.
Really? Damn, just bought it from Steam. Haven't tried it yet though. Question.. If the stealth is crap, can you just run n gun through it?

Because a new game-mode, new campaign and about 3 or so new Versus maps is nothing, and who says they're not adding more stuff in the future? They even talked about integrating L4D with L4D2, so what are you whining about?

Still I háve to agree with your statement that it got stale pretty quickly, I heard everyone rage about how many gazillion hours they pumped into L4D, until I discovered that I got bored after 26 hours. Still quite a lot, and I had tons and tons of fun in that 26 hours, but I couldn't help but think "Oh, is this it?"

That is, until I joined a PC gaming clan, and my L4D (and recently L4D2) hours shot up like a rocket. It's so incredibly insanely fun with a solid group of people.
Exactly. It's a multiplayer game with the single player as a add on. Multiplayer it's alright, does get boring after a while though. There's only so many ways you can go through the game or camp in survival. I'm going to try for an akimbo campaign on expert next, but then that'll be all the novelty and fun gone.

With the add ons from Valve, the new campaign is too short to be decent so isn't counted. =P 3 new maps is nothing, again, only so many ways you can do things.

Valve themselves said they'd rather release L4D2 rather than release more content for L4D. Can't find the interview atm.. Was within the last 6 months. Apparently they'll be releasing an expansion for L4D2 including the 4 characters from L4D, that's about as much integration as it will get. Which is rather annoying, simply because most people will play L4D2, meaning less people on L4D, meaning no multiplayer, meaning a boring game meaning waste of money.

Both Mercenaries games, Time Crisis(I think thats the name) for the gamecube(It was back when I hated FPS's)...I don't know why I bought them, but I didn't have fun with any of them
Do you mean Time Splitters?
Oh man, Time Splitters was such an awesome game/series

OP: Enchanted Arms, friend of mine told me it was good, I picked it up used for like 4$, I think I played it all of once for a couple hours. Although this is more of what were they thinking than what was I thinking.

Have you ever bought a game on a wim, got home played it for five minutes and thought "What the hell was I thinking? This game sucks ass"

I've had that feeling twice with Bullet Witch which is Devil May cry with all of the fun and anything that isn't a wall removed from the scenery. Also with Star Wars Republic heroes which is just terrible.

Jerhico. I was wanting a new game badly and made a premature decision. It was either that or Area 51... So i was doomed to fail no matter what.
