What they should do for AC3

So far, I have no major complaints with the franchise. Maybe a few more varieties with side missions would be nice, but I don't think anything major is required. What would be cool, and I know people won't like this, is actually holding off on an actual sequel for a while. It'd be interesting to see Desmond live through some of his other ancestors through other time periods like Victorian England or 19th century India or some crazy unique locale that has potential for lots of parkour and vertical combat. Each of these games would be like Brotherhood where they aren't actual sequels but something more akin to GTA Vice City or San Andreas. After having gone to some of these places, then have AC3 take place in 2012 with Desmond as the central character.

I certainly wouldn't mind that particular approoach.

Lol in terms of side missions its one of the best games ive ever played. What could be improved is rewards for doing the 1000 side missions avaible.
Real side missions Brotherhood's side missions were just assassinate this other guy. Can't they add like a deliever this bag of gold before the people kill the hostage.
They did that. But they killed the hostage anyway. And there are plenty of time trials...
I think they need to do something in the Industrial revolution era. Or teh American Revolution. Or the 20-30s. Maybe something involving Edison and Ford?(templars both of 'em)

I believe AC3 will feature Desmond as the main character. In modern times.

I'm just hoping to god that they won't fuck it up.

I don't think they should bring co op anywhere near Assassin's Creed. I think it would be quite awkward. It's Desmond's story. Don't bring in someone else.
Umm, assassinating people in a crowd is quite simple. Equip hidden blade walk up with a crowd, stab target walk off. Or for kicks use the poison blade. You can also throw people off ledges, since the first game.
I agree with you though that more customization would be quite enjoyable.
All in all I'm quite happy with the game. I'd like to see some tweaks to the controls, since Ezio doesn't always seem to follow my directions.

I was thinking this after playing AC2 (I don't have brotherhood yet.) While you weren't being told where to go all the time, things were still really linear. It'd be nice if it went back to the very solitary nature of the original but just allowed you to figure things out on your own.

I was thinking that a good opportunity would be to have Ezio go off to the New world, and maybe have a child who you end up playing as after Ezio's died. Assuming there aren't many Assassins in America, it'd let the player be a lot more solitary as he went after his objectives (no doubt preventing Templars spreading influence through the New World and maybe safeguarding an American piece of Eden,) figuring out where he should be himself and relying less on other characters to drag you around.
It might also give room for better gun mechanics. If real muskets came into broader use as they did around that time, it could provide the framework firearm-based systems that could take the series right into the mid-late 1800s in terms of a viable combat system while keeping the Assassin-ey stealth and fluid combat. Not sure how well that'd work, but if we're gonna start piloting Desmond around more, the series is going to have to introduce some kind of gun combat system.

Either way, I think America's the way to go. It could be a near-sequel to Brotherhood rather than a straight AC3, because I'd imagine the plots being rather heavily linked. For 3, I could imagine Desmond being a near-master Assassin, running all over the world, tracking down pieces of Eden and learning about the templars through the animus while going through tonnes of awesome historical locations (still have Greece, Persia, Egypt, India, China, Japan, and the US Revolutionary War at least to go through,) and also tracking down the templars, pieces of eden, and whatever other mystical MacGuffin needed to eventually save the world in the present. Maybe it could just be a bunch of little 5-hour episodic games Ubisoft, if you're looking for a fun way to extend the series and go with the flow while not appearing as though you're just milking the fans.

Just my 2 cents there.

I just finished Brotherhood and i feel like it didnt go far enough in terms of advancement, so here's what i think they should do for the next one:

- they should introduce a new protagonist, instead of or alongside Desmond, which would help incorporate a Co-op mode into the game.
- new parkour techniques could easily be put in place, if only to allow easier travel through the city, things like vaulting things like chimneys.
- more assassination techniques as well, the ability to assassinate somebody while in a busy crowd would be good, as would things like "deniable" assassinations, throwing people off bridges or towers, rather than just stabbing them.
- better usage of the brotherhood, there is a lot of ways this could be improved, but its a new feature, so i doubt they wouldnt work on it in the next game.
- lastly, a more customizable character would be nice, i know its not exactly the most practical thing, but its possible.

so thats what i think, what about you?
1. They might since, well, you saw the ending. Don't know about co-op though. Then again, who knows?
2. YES!!!
3.These are kinda doable either by punching an enemy on a ledge or during combat grabbing and throwing. Ever throw a guard into a scaffold? Instant, accidental-looking death. But other guards thinking it was an accident instead of looking for the nearest hooded guy would be nice.
4. 3 might not have it or feature it that much because it's not Ezio or Altair but either all Desmond or a new ancestor, but yes improvements would be nice, such as picking WHAT they do when called instead of picking between arrows and random melee attack followed by fighting every guard in the room.
5. The iconic hood and tail feather look would most likely stay, but there's LOTS of stuff that can change.

What I want to see: improved multiplayer that doesn't tell your target you're coming but lets you look yourself, even more stealth options. I want to be able to wear civvy garb to lose my notoriety, don guard uniforms whenever if I manage to get a bloodless kill, etc. And if I steal a guard's weapon, I want the option to keep it as a trophy. Not an automatic swap, but the option to do so if it's better than mine.

Here's my ideas:
-New setting and new protagonist
-Improved AI
-Not as bulky enemy interaction
-Improved vehicle controls
-More fluid missions like the save-a-citizen ones
-Going into water as a technique(drowning/breaking in through underwater entrances, etc.)
-Combining free-running and combat
-Maybe a better stealth system so you can hide under tables and things
-Make the horse more useful
