What to do when your friends think Modern Warfare is teh best game evar.

So most of the guys I know seem to think Modern Warfare 2 is the reincarnation of Christ. They claim it has the best story in the series (even though freaking Ign says otherwise), that the idea that Russians invading America and trying to destroy D.C. is brilliant, even though its convoluted, cliche, and has huge plot holes. (Sorry but I've wanted to say how bad it is compared to previous titles in the series).

They also say how it has the best looking graphics out there (and that the xbox has the best graphics as well or coarse.) "What's Crysis,some retarded pc game for fags? Lolololol" :/

Now to the muliplayer, which I might have complimented if it wasn't for the fact that Activision forced I.W.to put more effort into it than the singleplayer experience (something that angers me a lot because I agree with YZ in that a game must always be able to stand on its singleplayer component alone).

But what really makes me rage is when I point out that the series used to be pc only, to which they respond along the lines of, "Well then they realized no one plays pc cus its ghey, 360 forevaaaar!111" -_____-

*facepalm*

So guys, do you have any friends who think MW2 is the best ever, am I overeacting? Thoughts?

EDIT: Yes, to put it simply [aka TLDR], they are being ignorant about what they are saying about how its the best game ever, refusing to believe differently, and giving no real evidence as to why they think its the best.

Also, im saying EVEN ign thought that the story was crap for the game, not saying that their the final say. [yes i disagree with them often as well.]

Forgive me for being blunt, but your friend sound like frat-boy fucktards. I won't disparage anyone for their opinion of a game "being the best evar!" but when people are clearly ignorant, that's when I have a problem.

If your friends love Modern Warfare and say it's the best game they've ever played, more power to them. But if they're going to spout ignorant garbage like "PC is for fags, Xbox 360 has the best graphics, etc" then they deserve a slug across the jaw.

Well, for starters, what IGN says is worthless, so don't use that as an argument. You're friends sound retarded. Not because they like MW2 (I hate it, but each has his own), but because, if what you say is true, they have the intelligence of a 5 years old. If they say that again, just say "And that's why you'll never get laid" and walk off to hang out with people that don't suck.

yeah you are overreacting, but if you really want to introduce you friends to the culture of gaming or just some great experiences use CoD as a jumping off point, suggest other FPSs but maybe with some more meat on their bones, but dont jump straight into bioshock or half life, try and find a more fast paced shooter, i cant really help you there as im not that big a fan of the genre, only picking up exceptional titles, or if they really dig some of the stealthy missions you might be able to lure them into playing hitman or one of the newer fallouts, for their short comings they are still excellent games and in my opinion can hold up as a fps with a mod or two, or if its just the thrill of multiplayer they enjoy then theres a whole world of new games you can play with them, remember you dont have to start out with the deep and heavy stuff, just get them interested in the medium and try some other things, perhaps even some cross genre stuff.

2. From what I gathered his friends draw their conclusions from a very limited knowledge base. That's like me saying Denver is the best city in the world even though I haven't been to any other city. Or that I hate Japanese food even though I never tried it, but I have tried Indian food and I love it! Best food ever! *eyeroll* Liking is one thing. Proclaiming superiority and demeaning other things you have not tried or have no knowledge of is called ignorance.
