I'm glad no one thought of this yet, the stop watch from an episode of Twilight Zone, wait for the bankers to transport money to or from the vault, stop time, take what I want, get some good distance between me and the bank, start time back up again. Success! It also helps that the man used the stopwatch for that purpose anyway, Rod Serling ninja'd me over 50 years ago!

The bag of holding that's come up a few times is a genius idea.

If I where to rob a bank in reference-land I'd take in a JRPG wallet/inventory system. No weight and unlimited space.

Okay, for non-violent, I'll use the dubstep gun from Saints Row 4. I'll just keep blasting it into the air until everyone leaves, then take the money and get out.

How about a lightsaber? You can cut your way in, insta-kill anything that touches the blade, deflect shots fired at you, and it's easily concealable! The only major problem is mishandling the weapon.

Except that to deflect the shots you have to have Force Intuition and lightning reflexes beyond any reasonable martial arts grandmaster.

OT: Uhm... Popular culture? Or popular GAMING culture? Those terms don't necessarily go hand in hand... Like I don't expect average people to know what a Companion Cube is, but you ask "Who ya gonna call?" and they know... they know.

Pop culture: I'd just use a Kardashian as a distraction, and while the entire bank is somehow distracted and enamored with the useless twat I can walk out with the cash in hand.

Popular Game Culture: I'm gonna go ahead and go old school and pull out the Mega Man 2 Flash Man power. STOP TIME? YESSIR!!! Now if I could just figure out how to affect matter whilst time is immobile...
