But in all seriousness, timed jumping puzzles are thing that I normally hate. It can often be hard to see where your character is going to land, which results in SPLAT! INSTA-DEATH.
Why did people ever think Bridget was actually female? Nothing about his face looks feminine!
Well, that's one of his manlier pictures.
Just a tick, lemnme see...
There we are. I'll admit, I should have put more effort into my first search.

Oh come on man that's fanart, that doesn't count :p
Well I didn't know it was so it does too!

The traps in Dragon Age where you hit a wire and there is an explosion of fire and doom. Except it doesn't do anything apart from knock you down.
I'm always getting knocked down by those. I'm always too into the game.

funneh.. my character never gets knocked down.. even fighting a dragon on nightmare doesn't knock him down... maybe its my 92 physical Resistance stat.... or it might be just luck =)
I played a mage. We don't get much resistance.

People who pick arguments with me by misreading my messages, then think I'm arguing with them when I attempt to clarify where they misunderstood me. It's a trolling so subtle that they themselves are often unaware they're doing it.
So you're saying everyone but you is a troll?
Good example, if slightly too obvious given the context.
Just because my name has numbers in it doesn't mean I'm a troll, I bet you suck at MW2 n00b, why don't you go crawling back to your precious Galo!
The first example was better. This second one is too obviously just making noise for making noise's sake.
It was a realistic rendition for trolling defensive behavior. If you thought before you spoke you would know.

Traps in MGS2/3. Specifically, claymores. I just kinda forget that they exist, even on replays of the games. I should recognize the area and either think A) Lie down or B) Get out mine detector....but nooooo
Yeah the claymores in MGS3 always get me too. I think they are done really well in that game, because they aren't over done. They will have a spot with claymores, and then you won't see them again for quite a while. So by the time you see them again, you've forgotten about them. They don't happen often enough to make "checking for mines" part of your routine. So they always catch me off guard.

For some reason claymore mines always get me in MGS games. I walk into a field and BOOM! Get up and get around the others and when I think I'm ok BOOM!

I was going to post a similar trap but you already did so I guess I won't have to.

OT: Log traps in Oblivion.

A 'trap' in gaming is often known as a male who looks dubiously like a female.

Well I learnt the hard way that if you easily get the Death Star's Location and Blueprints, it could be a trap.

IT'S A TRAP!!!

Ah yes, this is a much better example of getting offended over typical failure to read. Add something like, "if you weren't so stupid, you would have known this" adds fuel to keep the flame war going.

Normally, that would totally get me, but given that the thread topic is about the kinds of traps I fall in, I'm on my guard and not so prone to do so.

Pretty much anything that is small and located near my feet. I like to run, usually fast, and at the time I'm not really worried about trivial things like tripwires and pressure plates until I explode or something. Then when I reload I move a lot slower.

Especially when you're hoping for a new weapon to help you kill Mimics.

Yes, the Irony hurt almost as much as the teeth.
Almost.

Look into your heart. You know it to be true.

And very, very creepy.
AHHH! SHUT UP!

i don't want to invision it!
he/she/it wears a low cut dress. that's just wrong!
Is that low-cut or high-cut? Either way, it's pretty creepy-fying. Some seriously messed up animators gave birth to him...
