Well realistically I'd say it's either some form of Intelligence or possibly medic for me, as I scored top marks on my mental exams but pretty much bottom marks on the physical ones, due to various defects including being near-sighted, during "military screening" which is mandatary for all able males between 18 and 25 not going to school in my country.

In all seriousness, I don't know. I wouldn't have a probnlem with taking orders, and I like to think I'd have the discipline to master any of the skills required of me. But I'm physically lacking, so they couldn't expect me to excel at anything too close quarters. Perhaps a logistics or support position. If not, I should be okay, most modern warfare is fought over a long distance anyway.

I reckon I could pull off being a sniper, unfortunately I doubt I'd be well characterised since I'm not Catholic and don't have the Bible memorised
If I absolutely had to join I'd join the Medical side of things: I'd much rather patch wounds up than blow people apart. Though as I'd be joined up to the British Armed Forces, as far as I know it's unlikely I'd be allowed to join a combat unit anyway.
Espionage, Counter-Espionage, "Backstabbery", "Turn Coat" - Anything that allows me quick access to whatever side promises me the best outcome when the war is over, and it would feel great to be the douche that made everyone trust him only to turn stuff over to the other guys 
Oh believe me my loyalties would be true to whatever side is more accurate to my own ideals from the start, but I wouldn't mind lying to the other side and screw them from the inside, not to mention doing some extra "private" side-missions for the sake of cash and security
PS: Though mostly because I want to avoid gunfire and front-line combat, deep down my survival instinct is telling me "You make a good jerk with flexible morals, not to mention you'd probably run away from armed soldiers coming for you"

If I had a choice I'd be some sort of pilot, always loved flying. If possible a helicopter pilot that ships in supplies and does no fighting.
