What underused creatures do you want to see as movie/game monsters?

Zombies. Poor guys are practically already forgotten, no game in the last 20 years has had zombies.

Seriously though, giant ants. Ever seen the movie "Them!"? Those ants are creepy as fuck. I mean, they already have crazy relative strength, crazy numbers and a crazy hive mind, but in giant form? Waka waka. Yeah, Fallout games, I know, but I want more.

Only now I get the fallout 3 refernce for this movie.

OT: Giant ants. Because they're giant. And they're ants.

Rocs, Phoenixes and other giant birds. In fantasy games the only thing that tends to swoop down on you from the sky is dragons and similar beasties. Boooring!

Monsters and creatures from classical mythology. I guess games have them covered with things like God of War and Dragon's Dogma (somewhat), but when was the last time you saw a film with a gorgon in it? A chimera? What about a cyclops or a hydra? All that kind of Greco-Roman stuff has been pushed out and replaced with Tolkien-esque fantasy.

And if you think a butterfly looks horrific close up you should see the face of a maggot.
