I'm not really excited about any new games for the moment. Don't get me wrong, there's surely some great games in the future, but after the steaming pile of amazing titles still sizzling with awesomeness that has been released this year all the games I've spent so much time waiting for have left me drained of energy towards being amazed.
There's still Paper Mario for the 3DS and Ninja Gaiden 3 which I probably will get for WiiU if it's a launch title, but I am not ready to pour my heart and soul into excitement yet. So I would rather just thank the game industry for 2011, a great year for games, though I wont finish most of them until June of next year.
I will start working on Professor Layton or Mario Kart tomorrow and Xenoblade shortly after.

Not a single one at the moment. I honestly haven't been following any new releases recently so I'm not even sure what's up coming next year.

"The Last of us" that new Square Enix game looks quite interesting. Other than that, any RTS game... At all! There have only been such a small number this year, and most were quite crap. Anno 2070 looks great, and i cant wait to get that, but i seriously cant think of a single other RTS game worth it from this year.

If anyone actiualy can think of a RTS or Strategy game that they can suggest, can you clue me in? :D

Edit:

To clarify, i WAS looking forward to a few games, but most have had news released and now im not interested; Primarily, Mass Effect 3, which now runs on Origin - Which i refuse to ever open again.

I was also cautiously optimistic about Final Fantasy XIII-2, but then i saw that gameplay trailer saying something along the lines of "The Exciting battle system from 13 is present again" and lost any and all hope. God, that game was TERRIBLE. Horrible Characters, Horrible Gameplay, Horrible storytelling - Although the story itself wasnt bad - and Horrible sound; Music, voices... the lot!

Some other games i am looking forward to include that new "Secret World" MMO, as well as the upcoming Dwarf Fortress Patch. (IT COUNTS)

Silent Hill: Downpour:
The SH-series still remain one of my favourites to this day. While Homecoming and Origins were disappointing (most notably Origins), I loved Shattered Memories and have high hopes for Downpour at the moment. While I think we all know it won't be a masterpiece, I'm still looking forward to it and hope it'll at least have a good story. The idea of playing as a convict is very interesting, and I hope they make the best out of it.

Starhawk:
I can always enjoy a good sci-fi shooter, and this one looks like a lot of fun. While I'm not really into games leaning heavily on multiplayer, I hope the campaign will be some fun as well (though it'll probably be short.)
Still, I might check it out.

The City of Metronome:
While there is little chance of this game ever seeing the light of day, I still haven't given up hope of it one day reaching the store-shelves. It looks unique even to this day, and it'd be a shame if we'd never be able to play it. Let's hope they will be able to finally show it someday.

Prey 2:
Open-world Blade Runner-esque city? With a jetpack? I'm in.

I want to play this game so bad! I've been waiting for the game to come out for, what, 3 years now, and every trailer I've seen looks awesome.

Final Fantasy XIII-2
I really liked FFXIII and I'm really happy the combat system is coming back, even though I'm not real happy about Hope coming back, but whatever. They story was cool, and I'm interested to know what's going to happen now since that one story trailer came out.

Borderlands 2
I freaking LOVE Borderlands and I played the hell out of it when it came out. Even though I'm not that big of a fan of the class character that they've been showing off, but I'm more curious to know how the other classes will work, and how the previous characters will be involved.

Diablo 3
I've already figured out what class I'm going to play and how I'm going to play that game. That game looks gorgeous and the opening cinematic looks badass.

I'm mildly interested in SIlent Hill: Downpour, I will not buy it when it first comes out, but I will pay somewhat attention to it when reviews come out. Every single SH game since Origins have disappointed me, and Shattered Memories annoyed me, so this game is the make or break point for me in the series.

Bioshock Infinite, Catherine (It's not released in Europe. Damn Deep Silver.) Mass Effect 3 (Miranda died in my Mass Effect 2, yay!) Borderlands 2 and The Darkness 2. All I can think of right now.

Must-haves:

- Mass Effect 3

- GTA5

Following with definite interest:

- The Last Of Us
- The Secret World
- The Last Guardian
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
- Prey 2
- Dishonered

Maybe's:

- Planetside 2

1) Bioshock Infinite -do i really need to say more?
2) Assassin's Creed III -hopefully Desmond gets his own game, mostly because i want to hunt down people in the present.
3) Mass Effect 3 -let us see how far EA has corrupted Bioware.
4) Borderlands 2 -hopefully its just as fun as the first was
5) Prototype 2- fan of the first, curious to see how they are rebooting it kind of like Assassin's Creed II did for the first game.

I'm looking forward to mass effect 3 and bioshock infinite. I may entertain the thought of Prototype 2.

Dishonored. There's a certain kind of first person immersive experience that only Looking Glass Studios and a handful of other companies every mastered, and I'm really hoping Arkane and Harvey Smith can bring the magic back in 2012. Smith is acutely aware of the flaws in Deus Ex: Invisible War, so I'm not expecting them to be repeated.

Right now, the only announced game I have interest in is Halo 4. Halo 3 was a defining game for me during my puberty years, but I couldn't enjoy Halo: Reach, despite me trying hard.

I /could/ say that I'm going to wait out the criticism before I buy Halo 4, but I know that that would be a lie. I'm pretty sure I will buy it first day regardless of the criticism anyway. Therefore, I will try my absolute hardest to avoid any information about Halo 4, so I can go in blind and hopefully be pleasently surprised.

As for unreleased titles, I hope 2012 brings me Portal 3, HL2:episode 3 and Just Cause 3, although only the latter two are actually somewhat possible.

Dishonored is probably my most watched (but goddamn it release a video of it or something). I am intrigued by its approach towards emergent gameplay, creativity with weapons and powers and resources, and a sort of freedom to complete the objective however you wish. (but goddamn it release a video of it or something, Arkane)

Max payne 3, and the darkness 2 are on my lookout for crazy-awesome shooters.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning looks rather fun.

Bioshock infinite i'm more looking forward towards the narrative rather than actual gameplay.

Prey 2 could be fun.
I guess that's it.

Seeing as my backlog is already ridiculously packed, there are only a few games I'm really looking forward to.
The first being Mass Effect 3, albeit with some trepidation. The Mass Effect series is one of my favorite in recent years, but I felt that while overall ME2 was one step forward from Mass Effect, there were aspects of it that were several steps back. I'm hoping the same does not hold true for ME3.

Xenonauts [http://www.xenonauts.com/] is another game I'm looking forward to as it is a spiritual successor to X-COM, more so than the new "X-COM" game.

Project Zomboid [http://projectzomboid.com/blog/] is also on my radar, as it is the first zombie game I've seen that deals more with the "survival" aspect of survival horror.

Only two;
Mass Effect 3 - Enjoyed both previous games, largely for different reasons, so 3 is a game I will be looking forward to.
Dawn of War 3 - If they have fully-customisable armies as they say they plan to, then this could potentially be the best in the series to date.

I'm curious about;
Metro 2033 (probably should get its predecessor first I suppose)
Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai (I know its DLC, but it looks possibly awesome)
Farcry 3 - I liked 2, but ultimately its a game I couldn't go back to now because of its flaws.

I was hoping for Stalker 2, but if the recent stuff is all true, then :(
