Ok, there's a royal wedding, most people really don't seem to give a crap.
Ok, problem with that is, a vast majority of people do give a crap. The only reason it might appear the opposite on the internet is because people like to appear 'cool' on the internet, and to most people, the easiest way of doing that is to hate the things that other people like, or to hate the things that everyone on the internet hates.

People are actually celebrating the fact that two momentusly unimportant people got married?
Like I get broadcasting it but street parties?
Also I don't think Ireland and Scotland will be happy about this.

I am honestly surprised. I was expecting the RFU to have a bigger set of bollocks than that. Not to mention the Welsh and Irish counterparts. This bullshit shall not stand, time for a revolution!

Before you do anything drastic, may I remind you who else happens to live in South East England? :|

And yes, BS. The ROYAL Wedding needs a fund like a game collector needs Wii Sports.

I'd have to agree with you on this one. Its just the like the people who say "I don't vote, whats the point?" and then moan after an election that nothing changes.

I'd keep the whole "Irish" counterparts thing til tomorrow.

I'm really hoping Leinster don't wear the union jack.

That'd just be too far.

Secondly I LOL'd at the second statement.

"The Royal Wedding needs a fun like a game collector needs Wii Sports"

The double implications of that sentence are effing hilarious XD

Well this fund is actually for setting up community level celebrations, so basically half the ticket prices are actually going towards funding street parties and events, not paying for the wedding.
All well and good but why should the Irish teams have to participate. This should have been confined to England,Wales and Scotland

Hey, they're more important than you common folk. Didn't you get the memo? I guess whatever taxes you're paying for the Royal Family aren't enough for their extravagant life styles.
Are you aware that the Royal Wedding fund isnt actually paying for the royal wedding? It is a charity fund. You think the royals need help paying for their weddings?

Yes, but I don't see why the royals can't give money and leave everyone else's cash alone.

It's stupid.

Or maybe we legit don't give two craps about the wedding. Most people use the mask of the internet to be hateful trolls anyway not "cool". Though they can be one in the same depending on your point of view.

I don't know, the only people that seem to care about it that I've seen are the news stations. It's a little annoying actually. I am American though, so I can't really comment on how the rest of the world feels about it.

Ok, so, I know many of the Escapist population aren't really into sport (and most that are mainly follow NFL), but one has to agree, this is complete crap.

Seriously, utter bullshit. [http://www.espnscrum.com/scrum/rugby/story/138937.html]

Basically, half of the proceeds from this weekend's Irish and UK rugby matches are being donated to a "Royal Wedding Fund", teams are EXPECTED to wear Union Jack Embroidery (though the French are exempt, Irish teams are basically saying "You don't have to... But you should"), and there's also the fact that any player who gets banned for a foul committed in any game this weekend will have a harsher punishment than normal.

... I'm sorry, but that is just completely ridiculous. Ok, there's a royal wedding, most people really don't seem to give a crap. I don't care if the "Royal Wedding Fund" is giving money to smaller charities, the clubs shouldn't have half of their funds from ticket sales given away.
Fuck them and boycott the bastards for this time being? I would.

Because the clubs aren't already rich as fuck, with enough money to purchase South America.
And the Royal family (or whatever the fuck they are called) isn't? Only reason I don't see that as being bad is because they are giving it to charity.

Oh look, another one of those guys. Personally, I don't give a shit about the wedding, and find it rather annoying because real news isn't being reported on for this stupid wedding. Oh they kissed in public, oh there is a frowning girl in the picture, and the two people that recently got murder in my neighborhood and the numerous break ins? Well, nobody seems to care about those.

Here is something you should come to realize: just because you are interested in something and other people aren't doesn't mean those are people are trying to be "cool". It is called an different opinion. I don't give a shit about being cool either, I have an opinion and just because I don't follow the same distractions of life that I want to be cool. I'm not atheist because I want to be cool, and I don't hate Halo because I want to be cool. All the publicity and shit from this wedding is stupid, religion is pointless in my eyes, and Halo is a horrible generic shooter.

It's specifically stated that the Irish don't have to but that it would be a fantastic goodwill gesture if they did.
They shouldn't even have been asked to participate imo.As for goodwill, aren't we having your Queen over for a state visit later this year.If that isn't enough goodwill for ya then I give up
