Well this fund is actually for setting up community level celebrations, so basically half the ticket prices are actually going towards funding street parties and events, not paying for the wedding.

I don't know, the only people that seem to care about it that I've seen are the news stations. It's a little annoying actually. I am American though, so I can't really comment on how the rest of the world feels about it.

Basically, half of the proceeds from this weekend's Irish and UK rugby matches are being donated to a "Royal Wedding Fund", teams are EXPECTED to wear Union Jack Embroidery (though the French are exempt, Irish teams are basically saying "You don't have to... But you should"), and there's also the fact that any player who gets banned for a foul committed in any game this weekend will have a harsher punishment than normal.

Oh look, another one of those guys. Personally, I don't give a shit about the wedding, and find it rather annoying because real news isn't being reported on for this stupid wedding. Oh they kissed in public, oh there is a frowning girl in the picture, and the two people that recently got murder in my neighborhood and the numerous break ins? Well, nobody seems to care about those.

Here is something you should come to realize: just because you are interested in something and other people aren't doesn't mean those are people are trying to be "cool". It is called an different opinion. I don't give a shit about being cool either, I have an opinion and just because I don't follow the same distractions of life that I want to be cool. I'm not atheist because I want to be cool, and I don't hate Halo because I want to be cool. It's specifically stated that the Irish don't have to but that it would be a fantastic goodwill gesture if they did.

They shouldn't even have been asked to participate imo.As for goodwill,aren't we having your Queen over for a state visit later this year.If that isn't enough goodwill for ya then I give up
