What video game character deserves their own game and why?

If we're gonna dip into the Archie bank of Sonic goodness, the I'll have to say Scourge the Hedgehog (if not his own game then make him the villain) and Lara-Su are good candidates.

When i was much much younger, I used to have a crush on Knuckle's mum, hahah.
She was a pretty well fleshed-out character and i always found the knuckles comics to have a much more intelligent plot than the sonic ones.
The sonic ones were simply all about speed (duh).
I miss The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog.
That Sonic X crap they got to replace it, is just lame. For shame Archie.... for shame.

You can do that in the old 2d sonic games. Get all the emeralds, collect 50 rings and jump.
He doesn't have that Augmenter device the Ancients gave him though.

The Carmine game. Where you get to play co-op as the Carmine brothers from Gears of War. I do believe there were 4 so one gets to play as A. Carmine, another as B. Carmine and so on. Basically the game would be a lot harder than Gears of War considering you're all Privates. You'll have to rely heavily on teamwork and communication. It would be a full 15 hour game with its own story. The controls would be identical to Gears of War's and the engine would be the same, just everyone is a Carmine, it's got four player co-op, and the story will have nothing to do with Gears of War's other than the Carmines and the war. It's like a spin-off and it's got a bit of backstory to it.

I know that isn't very accurate to the actual Gears universe and story, but still I think it could work.

Awhile back I wrote a whole Top 10's list for Video Game Characters that deserve their own game on ScrewAttack and Waluigi was #1. He's my favorite. So I completely agree with you.

I never said Sonic was a failure. The REAL Sonic anyway. The Sonic we all know and love as gamers would never be in terrible God of War games like Sonic Unleashed. The real Sonic is tied up in a basement with the REAL Sonic Team too. While "leperous retards" make these God-awful games.

Elizabetha Torrez from Grand Theft Auto 4. Outside of Saint's Row 2, there aren't any games that let the player take on the role of a QueenPin of Crime and there aren't any better candidates I've seen. Her game can even have a prison break scene like the one in Saint's Row 2, just with a bigger budget and more lush production values.

Krystal from the Star Fox series but as Dinosaur Planet the way that it should have been. It would have the side benefit of erasing Star Fox Adventures from the continuity and placing General Scales back into the plot as the major villain.

Balthier, Fran, Basch or Ashe from Final Fantasy 12, any of whom would have made better focal characters than Vaan, a character too bland to even dislike.

If adaptations are being counted, Sentinels from X-Men. Robots who hunt rogue super humans, using upgradable arsenals and on-site repairs against what are essentially gods in spandex...what hasn't that been made into a game yet, anyway?!

How about Seargent Johson from Halo? The could cover the events from Harvest to CE

Cole Train from Gears of War.

Give Sergeant Johnson his own spin-off game for Halo. Set it in the time of the Insurrectionists, before the Spartan-II project, and have a story detailing what happend during the original Spartan-I project. Then you play as a Spartan-I (i.e. Sgt. Johnson) fighting Insurrectionists. The controls can be similar to the original Halo games but with an extra button that makes him spout out badass quotes and BS whenever you press it.

Best. Game. Spin-off. Ever.

Duncan from Dragon Age: Origins. Plot: Gathering Grey Wardens in the years before the Blight and battling fear and hostility everywhere you go.

Wrex from Mass Effect. Plot: Wrex is a mercenary/assassin. What do you think?

HK-47 from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Plot: Same, but you play a droid this time, so different dangers.

TK-421 from Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope (not a videogame, I know, but whatever). Plot: Protect Imperial interests by hunting down Rebel scum and finally be promoted to a place of great stature on the Death Star.

Kyle Katarn from Star Wars: Jedi Knight (let us cleanse Jedi Academy from our minds). Plot: Anything with live-action films again.

Finally, Maria from Gears of War 2. Plot: Trying to survive as a Stranded while Locust appear everywhere around you. Starts just before E-Day and finishs when Maria is captured and just as the torture begins.

God, I hope someone makes these games...
