The Bioshock soundtrack might appeal to someone into classical music. It's closer to Xenakis and Penderecki than Mozart and Beethoven, but if she's into 'contemporary classical' at all then she may like it.

There's also this staggeringly beautiful remix of Serenade of Water from OCR remix.

Now if only the two were fun games...

OT: Mask of the Betrayer has a good soundtrack, but it is not avalible to buy.
Demon's Souls was good once you got used to it, unforgiving but fun to play. FF13 was ok too, just dragged on a bit.
I couldn't speek for Demon's Souls because I didn't play it, but FF13 had good music, it just felt like playing a long movie, and I gave up on it.

OT:

This is one of my favorites, and I learend to play it on my bass

This has a very uplifting feel to it

This one sends chills up my spine

Just about everything made by Square qualifies. Same for most of Castlevania's soundtracks starting with Symphony of the Night:

I'd recommend this as my first snap judgement about it.

But DEFINITELY this:

Actually just about all the Fable soundtracks have damn good music in them.

I'd say Nobuo Uematsu and Shoji Meguro are some of the best composers out there today.

I see someone already posted the Tour de Japon version of You're Not Alone so that's taken care of. here's an example of some amazing orchestral work by Meguro.

If she's into things that involve a choir or that are focused around a singer then the GUST Sound Team has made some amazing tracks for Ar Tonelico as well.

Hello, I am a big fan of orchestral soundtracks myself and there are a couple of you can recommend to your friend:
From the star, basically anything from the Eminence Orchestra. It is an orchestra that specializes on gaming music.
On some specific examples, be sure to try these -

Battlefield 2142
Civilization 4 and 5
Basically all Final Fantasy games, especially VII and later. If you can get the piano versions of the music, its great!
Distand World 1 and 2 (gaming music collections, live orchestra)
Night in Fantasia 2009 (Eminence palying live, great stuff)
Echoes of War (Blizzard music, Eminence orchestra, instant greatness)
Gothic 3
Halo Reach
Settlers 7
Assassins creed 2
Symphonic Concerts from Koln, Symphonic Fantasies, Symphonic Legends

There's quite a lot of music from games that is brilliant. While I don't particularly like it, Halos got some good music. So have the Final Fantasy games for that matter, and so on.

These are the ones I'd recommend, plus:

- Pretty much any Final Fantasy. I especially liked X's music.
- God of War III had some good pieces, though they weren't very memorable.
- Oblivion had some good music too, but can be a bit bombastic (I remember someone calling it pirate music).
- Armored Core 4 and Armored Core: For Answer have a couple of the best game soundtracks I know, but for the classical pieces you may have to sift through some electro. Well worth it though.
- Neverwinter Nights; again, not very memorable, but great music nonetheless.

Really, nobody said One Winged Angel. I see a lot of people saying Nobuo Uematsu/Final Fantasy, but if I had to suggest a specific song that would be it.

and this one is also good

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has a fully orchestrated soundtrack. It's pretty BA.

It REALLY sounds like the beezee needs to open her mind though. Make her a mix CD of random game music and throw "Pussy Monster" by Lil' Wayne in there. At least your friend might get laid that way.

Super Mario Galaxy series, as the title suggests is very reminiscent of Holst's the Planets Suites. Recommended tracks include;

Cloudy Court Galaxy
Melty Molten Galaxy
Final Battle Vs Bowser (SMG 2)
Gusty Garden Galaxy

Starfox Assaults soundtrack also has big orchestrated space opera style music and is often pretty overlooked.

Ever since I heard the Play! symphony orchestra version of this, I was hooked:

Beyond Good & Evil provided us with this one:

Not classical, but certainly a brilliant song from TF2:
