Anarchist. I love causing crazy evil action, I'm not much for scheming.
Although I could be the dangerous killing machine employed by the main villain who follows his orders unquestioningly.
Possible bonus points if I end up seeing the error of my ways and becoming good.

Richard from LFG comic. That'd be me. Yes. Someone has to stand up against those aggressive orphanages!

Kind of an offshoot of the Manipulator/Schemer.

The Visionary Dictator.

I'd be perceived as the good guy by a nice chunk of the population. Sure, I'd take over and twist society into a communist-like existence, but hey - I'd kill crime, keep free speech intact, make the education system a thousand times better, nuke redundant/retarded laws, dissolve greedy capitalistic organizations, promise a comfortable life to every single person (inc. medical care/entertainment) and push hard for research into practical technologies to ensure humanity's long term survival.

Noble cause corruption. But then would I truly be a villain? I think thats as close as I would get to being the villain, as I always like to play the 'good' guy when I have the choice.

Case point: Fable 2. I tried going through as an evil character after my initial playthroughs as the moral guardian, but always found that it just wasn't worth my effort to be a douchebag for the sake of... well, being a douchebag. Why rape and pillage oakfield when it only means that it will be depressing and boring, when I could just NOT murder all the villagers, and it would flourish?

The Schemer most likely. I tend to over analyze things, and can formulate pretty bizzare plans.

Sounds as though you'd be at a halfway point between Good and "Dark Knight", but thats just me <P

I like the sound of Schemer, but thats only really because OP used the example of Aizen from Bleach, to be honest. Although I think i would dabble in a bit of Anarchist, just 'cause.

I'd probably be the guy to be brought in as the first boss. I wouldn't make it far. If not that, and I actually did something, then I'd go for the Doombringer. That sounds awesome.

Ummm, I mean, I would be, if I was a villain. Yes, that is what I meant.
I would call it... actually, I don't know.
Yeah... I was thinking the same thing. I fit The Manipulator better, because I'm not so much for the whole getting of my ass and not having associates do things for me... But I'm not bad at back-up plans. Not amazing, but not bad. I would call it....... The Deceiver.

It's an interesting topic not because people in general would be in a position to do any great gestures of evil, or the power/time/resources to take actions of great influence, but what the archetypes mean in everyday life.

None of us is likely to have a pawn to manipulate to do our bidding, or a great scheme that reaps anything of value, or any of the others but what we can do and what is expected of us to do in our fairly mundane lives is affect the people around us.

Friends, family and significant other are the basics to this

How do you get what you want from these people is another way to ask the question?

Do you pit your sister against your brother so their fighting makes you look like the better child to your parents?
That would be of the manipulator archetype

Do you tell your girlfriend about one of her friends you don't like hit on you when she was drunk at a party, so she hates her and you no longer have to see the friend you don't like?
That's being a schemer, actually I find both of those archetypes borrow from each other in most cases.

and so on

Out of all the options even though they cover much of the ill intentions people can have for their actions. I have a hard time with the dark knight. In many ways to is much more relative than any of the other options.

Without a doubt there are many things to me that seem evil or bad that to someone else maybe be perfectly fine. Is my view so important or grand that I should take actions to remove the option from everyone else's options... Where is the line of the dark knight is very blurred so I can't really say where I stand on it at this time.

For myself, in my life I have unfortunately been the schemer and manipulator... I never picked up the "this is wrong" part of getting what you want til much later in life, and I am dreadfully good at pitting people against each other when in the mindset. Though I prefer not to be.

The hardest things to figure out since putting old habits behind me is figuring out if I taking this course of action because the goal is something I want, or because I think it's the overall best thing to do. Taking selfishness out of the equation is proving to be very difficult thing to do, but a worthwhile goal... sometimes.

I have said it before and I'll say it again: If I ever snap, I'll turn into The Riddler.

So, that would make me somewhat of a Schemer, I suppose.
