Wow, there is quite a few, ranging from blatant racisim, Teddy's "White Fleet" to Grant's "Gold Bust". But the biggest presidental screw up in history has got to go to FDR's decison to allow the supreme court to force Japanese American's into Interment Camps. Probably one of the biggest mistakes America has ever made. All of those innocent people, no matter which generation they were, the goverment uprooted them and put them in camps, in order to stop the "Possibility" of Anarchy.

Wasn't the White Fleet great for Japanese-American relations, as well as being a nice way to intimidate the rest of the world?

Anyways, I'll have to go with the Fiske Gould crisis during Grant's first term. F&G had a scheme to conquer the gold market, but to do so they needed the fed to not release any gold into the system. They bribed Grant's brother-in-law to tell Grant not to release gold, and the gold market had almost collapsed by the time gold was injected into the market. When your president takes critical advice from his brother-in-law, you need a new president.

Grant was reelected. Shame on the Democrats for nominating someone even worse to oppose him.

It was the Brits, not the Canadians. Canada wasn't even independent until 1867 at earliest. I don't know why, but as an American, this irks me.

Institution of the Federal Reserve and the World Bank.

Hands down.
I concur
On the dollar bill instead of 'In God We Trust' it should say 'Enslaved By Debt'

Well, yes, it was great for Japenese Relations, and was part of Teddy Roosevelts "Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick" plan, though the act of doing this, gave the United States more reason to promote racisim, hance the "White" in the "White Fleet". Though, this is not truly 100% bad thing, hence my lack of mentioning it as the worst presidental mistake. But, the past is the past, we are not as racist now. Though I have to agree with you, Grant's mistake was pretty drastic, and is the sole reason why he was the worst President ever, probably even worse then Bush.

The foundation of amercia by christopher columbus.

Serously why did he have to look for that new passage.
I DO hope you mean Amerigo Vespucci.
Christopher found it, but he got unpopular with the sponsors.

Anyways America's biggest blunder in general: Beeing found again.

Biggest govermental blunder: Ignoring the rest of the world.

Upper and Lower Canada appeared on the Map in 1792, so you could say that Canadians in red coats, burnt the White House. The Constitutional Act came into effect on December 26, 1791. Canada was still a British Colony and truly self ruled country however. But then again saying that they didn't burn down the white house would be like saying Americans didn't fight for their independance, using that thinking i guess the french were the only nation fighting for US independance.

So I guess we can consider anything that happened in the U.S. before the declaration of Independance is actually British history, and not U.S. history?

In today's society, there have been many screw-ups in our government. But what do you think was the biggest and most idiotic move made in our government. Please voice your opinions.
Going to Iraq for no good reason.

"We did go in for good reaso--"

STFU.

Not good enough of a reason to send our extremely expensive (technology/lives) military there.
[pirate] doncha remember the pig war? ARR [/pirate] i first heard about it on an episode of arnold (anyone remember this show?) i thought it couldnt be real, so i googled it and it turned out, to the televisions surprize as much as my own, that it was a real ALMOST violent conflict with the involvement of both british and american army ocupying a small island over some guy shooting some pig (for some reason i almost tiped penguin, i guess that would have been weirder huh?)
Yeah, I remember "Hey Arnold!." It was one of the awesome shows that was on Nickalodean before the exectives at paramount got a case of the stupidity ,that caused the executives of Fox to cancel Futurama, and cancelled most of their lin-up, leaving a bunch of overly mainstream animated shit, and Spongebob and the Fairly Odd Parents, along with Neds Declassified School Survival guide, and overly mainstream live action shit like everthing else on Teen Nick that wasnt Neds Declassified, to hold Nickalodean up.

P.S. The same thing happened with Cartoon Network and Disney Channel.
if you were more creative with your name calling regaring *cough* stupidity *cough* you would be a grade A poster on my book
i realy hated when they canceled the angry beavers, the halloween episode was just briliant
also invader zim was Chaotic enough to keep my atention over 25 minutes
