Aw, now I feel left out for not ruining the site. I RUIN EVERYTHING TOO!

Well, I remember enjoying The Escapist as a PDF magazine a loooong time ago on Evil Avatar.

Other than that, I don't know. I only found out about the site itself because of ZP.

Uuuuhh, crap. I don't know, the earliest I've heard of The Escapist was after watching Yahtzee's review of SSBB and getting REALLY PISSED at it. Then I realized he was a critic, then I felt really dumb and started lurking on the forums.

The hills and forests rolled for miles on end, uninterrupted by the creations of those known as trolls... Oh those were the good days, the best days, when a man could walk from settlement to settlement through unspoiled meadows, drinking in the scenery and the sweet scent of daisies.

Ahem... Sorry, my mind made me write it.

OT: I honestly don't know. I only joined a year or two ago, I'd lurked a while before hand but not for very long.

We didn't even have forums for a long time. When the magazine first launched, it was the magazine and nothing else. Everything else came along later - and "ruined" The Escapist, by the way, according to many fans at the time.

And laughing at that quote just "ruined" my keyboard. Curse you Coca-Cola, CURRRSEE YOOUU!

Also I shall sit in my 'special' chair and say that Unforgotten Realms brought me here.
You just spread the curse. Laughing at your comment ruined my mouse. Damn you Ice Tea!

OT: Yeah, I´ve never even knew this site existed until I saw a Yathzee review from Bioshock in 2009 I think. Never posted much until I started exploring the actual community, instead of comming here Wednesday and Friday. But I was here long enough to see one or two changes, so I´m not that new.

I came here for Yahtzee too, in fact it was some time before I really watched anything else on the site, or even signed up for the forums.

Now I've watched a lot of the archives, and try out every new show, and watch most of them (apart from No Right Answer)

I was actually brought here when a friend of mine showed me the Too Human review Yahtzee did. To this day it is still my favorite review of his.

Your avatar make you my new favorite person.

In other news. Now I'm wondering which ZP I watched first... I didn't reg for the community immediately so I'm not sure... I think Yahtzee had 2 videos up at the time.

I've always been frugal with my posting, so I didn't realize I've been here since the Escapist kinda really took off in terms of community based system.

Apparently... surprisingly enough, my first comment was on a Yahtzee Article and not a Yahtzee Video... cause I rarely read the articles at that time.

[HEADING=2]All you see here now was just 1's and 0's back then.
Joe ran roughshod over people with permabans flying like confetti.
Old fashioned Troll-baiting parties used to occur on every thread.
And badges? We din't need no steenkin badges![/HEADING]

[HEADING=3]I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Racist trolls getting flamed off the shoulder of Off-Topic. I watched permabans glitter in the dark near the Games Discussion. All those posts will be lost in time...[/HEADING]like sunken threads...
