I think it was Star Fox or Mario 64 but I can't really remember that far back.

lol that far back? That wasn't that long ago.. What, maybe 12 years? No offense to you.. that comment just made me laugh.. and maybe even feel a bit old.

I'm guessing the first game I beat was mario bros for NES. that was 1985, so that sounds about right.

Hmmm, it was either Sonic 3 or Sonic & Knuckles with my brother, or a crappy Shrek racing game that I got with my gameboy advance, kind of embarrassing but it was the first system I had all to myself and I seem to recall the game being fun, but later I got better games like Pokemon Silver and Yoshi's Island, good times, I still think the gameboy advance/advance SP is my favorite gaming system.

ET on the 2600, say what you want about it, but it was one of the few atari games that had an ending. The only other 2600 game I had that was possible to win was raiders of the lost ark, think I played that game for like 3 years and don't think I ever beat it.

The second game I beat was super mario, my mom got me a NES for christmas and told me she would buy a new game for me after I won that one. Spent about 2 weeks mastering it before winning, mom ended up reluctantly buying me Zelda thinking that I wouldn't beat mario so fast

I can't even make it through the part where you get surrounded in the start.

thats a shame. I think the first game i ever beat was one of the super mario games on NES or SNES with my brother, or it might have been later, like Sonic, jungle book or Lion King for the Sega Genisis.
