Do comics count? Because in that case, the last book I finished was Deadpool Classic Part 5, which was pretty damn awesome because, y'know, Deadpool. Interesting story arc to boot.
If not, then the last book I've finished was book three of the Wheel of Time series, The Dragon Returns. It was pretty damn epic, though I like book 4 more already thanks to Perrin's character arc.
The only good point she does raise is in her other book, The Fountainhead, in which she states that the self is the most important thing a person has. That makes perfect sense of course, no one else but you can live your live for you, no one else can be you for you. So you shouldn't betray that self, sell it, change it for the sake of someone else. And that's something I can most definitely get behind.
Other than that, ***** be cur-azy.

Which, you know, is completely idiotic. Nothing personal, of course, but objectivism fails as hard and for the same reasons as hardcore communism does; humans as a species are just not compatible with it. Rand's philosophy is completely nonsensical, has pretty much zero grounding in real life. It's a laissez-faire utopia, Rand's personal wet dream, but nothing more than that.Noala said:Well it did. And yes, any philosophy book IS life-changing as they do teach you a new way of life as you said, however it is up to you to take that way of life. I'm saying that Atlas Shrugged made me take the Objectivist path of life.
