I finished Stephen King's Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass, and Neil Gaiman's American Gods yesterday. Both were wonderful tomes.

Finished the first book in the Ravenor series by Dan Abnett some time ago. Currently I'm reading Pandora's Star by Peter Hamilton, which I'm finding rather neat.

'Darkly Dreaming Dexter' by Jeff Lindsay.

Seriously, anyone who enjoyed the first series of Dexter should pick it up. It's better than the series in my opinion...

I am reading Conqueror's Pride, by Timothy Zahn, right now, but the last book I read was The Man Who Was Thursday, by G.K. Chesterton. Really....fucking....weird.

if you mean fiction, then science of the discworld is the closest that you can get from me recently. it's kind of a combination of science, and some vague background story about wizards being incompetent...

i liked it. it's a science book with a sense of narration effectively, and that is just how i like to read.

War and Peace.

Well, I'm in the process of reading it. The last book I read was both "The Civil War - an Illustated History", Barack Obama's Biography and "Cosa Nostra, a History of the Sicilian Mafia"

Truly, I haven't read a book in a long time, I can't remember the last one.

Stephen Pressfield, "The Gates of Fire" blew me away
A great read, and a 'must' for anyone who gets all frothy about the movie '300'.

I just started reading House of Leaves, by Mark Z. Danielewski. Now there's a trip. It's worth finding a copy of the book if only to puzzle over the way that it's written.
I can't tell you how badly that book fucked with my head. It's worth the read, but be warned: it does really sink its hooks into you.

Personally, I just finished William Gibson's 'Pattern Recognition' and 'Spook Country'. I'd heartily recommend Pattern Recognition to everyone: it borders on the sublime.

I also just finished 'Armor' by John Steakley- a book that I reread at least once a year, and I'd highly, highly recommend to anyone who liked Starship Troopers by Heinlein.

Yeah, I read a hell of a lot.

I think it was 'Lautlos' by Frank Schätzing (author of 'The Swarm'). Interesting thriller about a planned assassination of Bill Clinton during the 1999 EU-G8 summit.
