I last read Grave of the Fireflies. I wanted to read it after seeing the movie to it and it was good.

Poor kid. I thought My experience with book reports was bad.
Last year, my class had to read a biography last year, then we later found out (after we chose our books) we had to defend our character's life against two other people for a grade, sort of like a debate. Guess whose biography/ memoirs I read?

O.J.
good thing about my english class is that we could have made the whole thing a freakin' joke, as long as we had the facts.

but i imagine that was pretty interesting. ^^

worst book i ever had to read was the chosen. just blow-your-brains-out boring. :[

Catch 22...actually I'm still reading it but it makes me sound a lot better.
It was actually Airman by Eoin Colfer (the same guy who wrote the Artemis Fowl series)
or
Dark Calling by Darren Shan
Sorry,I cant remember which I finished first!

The 5 people you meet in Heaven.

It WOULD have been the first book of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but my brother wont let me borrow it. He is gonna take forever to finish it I bet too...
The 5 People You Meet in Heaven is my next book :)

I recently finished Nineteen Eighty Four.

I'm almost finished My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, which my girlfriend asked me to read. Not bad so far.

The book I finished just before that was We Can Build You by Philip K. Dick.

God is Dead by Jr. Ron Currie

This book is golden and full of thrills.

Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk

Somewhere in my top ten favorite novels. I was in Estes, CO. the other day and I still think I saw Chuck in the park. No telling though.

Haha, when my ***** of a teacher announced the actual purpose of the book report, everyone in the class looked over at me. Their faces said, "Oh, you are so fucked, dude."

Plus my opponents chose two no name people that they didn't care about or even listen to during their presentations.

I've been trying to broaden my horizons. I go through fazes where I read one particular genre exclusively (mostly SF, fantasy, classics, or horror), so I've been reading lit fic and mysteries lately. Yesterday I read One for the Money by Janet Evanovich, and was pleasantly surprised. It's not the deepest thing I've ever read and the mystery wasn't hard to figure out, but the characters were quirky (though Stephanie Plum was a bit annoyingly inept) and made enjoyable enough. I suppose I'll move on to Two for the Dough next.

Executive Orders by Tom Clancy. I'm rereading the whole Jack Ryan storyline because they are good stories.
