What was the last game you pre-ordered?

It isn't often that I reserve a title but Hitman Absolution has looked so damn good in the previews and teasers that I couldn't resist. I even bought the professional pack because delicious art makes me happy.

I'm still on the fence about Bioshock Infinite.

The only good thing about that games was... Well... Um... This may be harder than i thought. Atleast Black Ops had the Zork minigame.

OT: I think it was Halo Reach (no idea why). Actually other than that and 1 or 2 others, i dont think i have pre-ordered any games. I generally dont really pre-order games unless there is something cool that comes with it.

I don't think I've ever preordered a game. Normally I just wait to buy one until:

a) I won't be trampled to death by the crowds

and/or

b) The price goes down

I am the right age to have played XCOM back in the day but I must admit I never actually did. I live in a rural area and didn't have friends as a kid so I missed several classic games simply by never hearing about them.

Bought the original XCOM on Steam several years ago and played the crap out of it. The visuals and interface are painful by today's standards but it was the limit back then. For gameplay that engrossing I can forgive a lot.

I've played a couple XCOM clones. One -- I can't remember its name -- was obtuse and unintuitive, so rough it felt like alpha code. Xenonauts seems like it could be good if they ever get it stable and bug-free.
