Tidus from FF10. Man, he is the quintessential dumbass hero character. Almost everything anything any character ever says to him he answers with a variation of the phrase "bwerghh?"

Also, his stupid blonde hair, girly face and stupid dungarees annoy me as well. How can anyone dress like that without thinking "yep, I look like a complete berk."
I think thats part of his appeal to some people o_O It was always the teeth that got me with him. It looked like he just had some curved marble in his mouth that stuck out a little too far.

For me, I think the most annoying character would have to be Arthas (a la WC3, not WoW). He's basically got his life made (royalty, loaded, could totally spade Jaina if he wanted), but no, he's got to have 'ultimate power' and 'hordes of undead minions'.

Wait a second....

Really? other than her constant chain of sighs and grunts she didn't really bother me

Hope on the other hand, GOD! I don't play the card very often but he emo'ed me out. Ironic, I know but he tests my patience so thoroughly.
I'd actually been hoping that Vanille was a homicidal killer, but that she's been fooling everyone by hiding behind her girlish glee.
But ofcourse this is FF so that's not going to happen.
But Hope is indeed twerp. I don't mind that he's a whinny little douche, but why does he need to tag along with the big boys?
Couldn't he have been just an extra or something?

The whole cast of Jericho.

I could rant all day about how much I hate them and why.

Navi

Squall

Yuffie

Anyone with the last name "Carmine".

Until recently, Raiden

Dante

Beatrice

Lucifer (Wait... maybe I don't hate those last three characters... maybe it's just that the game was shit)

Sweet or whatever his name is the brother of your character in GTA San Andras, every mission hes in your almost complete when he runs out on the road and gets flattened by a car making you fail. Also you kill thousands of people in all these rediculus missions and finally save him and first thing he does is get angery at you for not defending the turf or something no matter how many gangsters you wipe out

Hate to pull a Spelling Nazi on ya here, but it's 'annoying', not 'annoynig'.

Mostly because of the irony involved.

Noober from Baldur's Gate. He was supposed to be annoying though. He would walk up to the party, and initiate dialogue every couple of minutes until you left town, killed him, or (my personal favorite) turned him into a squirrel.

Cortana, when I played Halo 1. Probably wasn't helped by the fact I was trying to hate the game but *sh-rug*. She's a robot, she's not meant to try and be witty.

Edit: You're not alloud to get away without telling us yours!
why were you trying to hate the game, I thought it was superb
Anyway, probably that robot from borderlands whose name I forget
I just had a bit of a thing against it. Mainly the majority of the community. Oh and people said it was better the Half Life. That's never a good thing to say to me, I hold grudges against any game which dares to have a community willing to challenge Half Life :D (Half Life was the first game I ever played, kinda lurve it)

Kratos, just the voice acting bothers me.

Raiden, complete douchebag in his first appearance, and somehow manages the same feat in a completely different way in his second appearance, can you tell I'm REALLY looking forward to Metal Gear Solid:Rising?

Vamp from the same series ^^ just irritating to face but never really did enough damage to you to kill you off, that's extremely irritating for me, the fact that you know you could beat the shit out of him easily, but no he keeps dancing around.

Hope from FFXIII. Liara from ME1/2, even though I liked her in the first one she would get annoying very fast if I spent too much time around her. ME2 made her more annoying!

The musicians in Assassins Creed 2. My finger always twitches on the "assassinate" button whenever I see them.

Tali from Mass Effect series. I hate her because of her geeky, awkward personality, her voice and her fans from Bioware Social, who think she is some kind of a Greek goddess.

Roman Bellic and his big American te-tees.

Natalya from Golden Eye. In the level where you have to save her from the jail cell, I would leave her locked up until I had literally killed every static guard in the map (because some did respawn, and I had to have her there for those)
Second only to Epona! In Legend of time, she must've thought I was Roy Rogers - stupid horse always spawned below me and got stuck on some obscure wall in an area I'd never really explored because it was completely useless, aside from being the perfect corner to jam Epona's head in, apparently.
