I remember quite fondly a moment in Battlefield: Bad Company 2

We were defending the last M-com stations on the Arica Harbour Map, when I (playing as a medic) saw 4 streams of bullets come from the opposite side of a cargo container.
Knowing I would probably die in the attack, I let loose a warcry into my mic (and into the unfortunate ear of my friend who i was playing with), turned the corner and let loose with my M240.

Turns out there were FIVE guys behind the container, but that didn't matter, as I blew them away with a barrage of 5.56mm rounds, still screaming into headset as I did. I don't think any of them knew what was happening before they died.

When I finally stopped screaming, a lone recon popped his grass covered head from around the corner like a scared puppy, which i promptly blew away with more ammo then was probably required.

My friend assumed that the screaming he was hearing was because I had died in some bullshit way. So when he asked "what happened, did you die?"
I answered in my still adrenaline fueled voice: "I GOT THEM ALL!!!!!"

Playing Warhawk, trying to get the acheivement for making a sniper kill from over 2500 feet. I find a suitable location on one of the largest maps available, but unfortunately it seems most of the fighting is taking place out of sight from me. Until I spot a lone wolfer flying around. Yes, flying around, as he had a jetpack, which are extremely hard to hit with a sniper anyway, never mind in excess of 2500 feet.

A quick check of my map shows me the target is indeed a good distance away, well within the estimate I have for the required distance, so I start trying to shoot him down. You only get 7 shots with the sniper, so I needed to make every one count. I expected him to see the first bullet trail and then immediately try to fly away. He didn't. So I start putting shots down range. Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss. Now I'm getting annoyed and my prey has clearly seen the bullets passing by as he starts flying about more erratically. He still doesn't try and fly clear though.

Miss. Miss. Now I only have 1 shot left. I pause to take a breath, calm myself. My taget momentarily pauses too. Perhaps he thought I was out of ammo, or that I gave up. Whatever the case, it was his last mistake.

Boom! Last round, killed, acheivement ding. I was so very happy with that. I don't care that it took 7 shots, it was epic.

I remember on the Oil Rig mission in the first Splinter Cell, there's this enemy who appears about 300m away to set off a bomb. You can see the faraway platform where he is at about 2:30 in this vid, except I had the gamecube version where there's no sunset and it's pitch dark.

He's only about 8 pixels tall, almost background scenery. Since you only have a pistol on that mission, I completely covered him with the aiming reticle, and fired off 3 shots just to see if he'd notice it or respond.

Guy falls over instantly without a sound.

Fucking. Headshot.

Not so much my "best" but my favourite kill. While exploring through many of the small villages scattered throughout Skyrim, I encountered a small side quest of a farmer's son who wants to become an adventurer, but his father forbids him. So I decide to do him a favour and go pay his father a visit. Much intimidating and threatening was involved until the he finally submitted to my indomitable will, and I even made him give his son an extra amount of pocket money in order to help him jump start his adventuring career.

Some time passes and I discover Boethiah's shrine which requires a sacrifice in order to communicate with Boethiah. So I decide this is the perfect opportunity to pay my favourite would-be adventurer a visit. He's really come a long way since the last visit I paid him, all geared up with a nice looking leather armour and great looking iron sword. I begin conversing with my good friend and pay him the usual fee of 500 gold that one normally pays for followers in Skyrim and we embark upon our journey to Boethiah's shrine.

We arrive at the shrine and I convince my gullible and sheltered companion to touch the "Pillar of Sacrifice Enlightenment" and suddenly, and quite unfortunately, he becomes permanently stuck to it due the magical curse it possesses. Now, I didn't want to kill him any little old way, because his eagerness to fulfill his dreams of becoming an adventurer really touched a deep place in my heart, so I whipped out good 'ole Mace of Molag Bal and began cleaving away at him.

If you didn't already know, one of the many unique qualities of the Mace of Molag Bal is that it soul traps the enemy it kills, and since you need a black soul gem in order to trap a human NPC's soul, I had my trusty Black Star ready at hand to plunder my favourite compatriot's unyielding soul. After I chipped away the last grain of life from my good friend, I conversed with Boethiah (who found his body to be repulsive BTW). Once we finished speaking and wiped out all the other cultists, I went back to the corpse of my former adventuring friend and took back the 500 gold I gave him. Aftewards, I used his soul to enchant a water-breathing helmet or something trivial like that. And according to the Dawnguard DLC, whenever somebody has their soul used after they were trapped in a black soul gem, their soul is forever trapped and tortured by the Ideal Masters for the rest of eternity in the Soul Cairn.

Dreams do come true.

In Battlefield Bad Company 2, I was sitting in my tank in the desert, when I spotted an enemy helicopter far away in the distance. I shot at it with my main gun, not expecting to hit, but saw the path had potential. However right before my shell would have hit the helicopter a rocket hits the helicopter. So I didn't get the helicopter, but then I get a kill, and a head shot at that. The pilot bailed out right before the rocket hit only to be greeted by my 120mm grenade to his face :D

Well I was going to talk about my seven-kill-from-a-single-stickytrap-as-demoman in TF2, but after reading this I think I'll just go curl up in a ball and cry in a corner instead.

That's the worst thing I've ever read.

I have plenty of brag-worthy kills but one of the funniest and most memorable is probably when I got the final kill of the match in CoD:MW1 with a smoke grenade (nailed the guy right between the eyes), the entire server got to see the instant-replay and many laughs were had.

Another fairly memorable one would be when a helicopter pilot in BF2 decided to taunt me with my imminent death by hovering just ahead of me before taking the shot, little did he know I had the anti-material sniper rifle on me with which I then blew him away and caused the chopper to crash before the co-pilot had time to react.

Hahahaha wonderful. I've hit choppers with the tank before in BC2 but that just takes the cake.

Too many amazing multiplayer kills to count... CoD 4, Halo 3, BFBC2, Melee...

I'll just go with recent one, joined on the losing team of a 24/7 2fort game and went sniper because there were 2 enemy snipers shredding our team and no-one counter sniping.

Using the machina, dominated over half their team culminating in a deliberate double headshot on two pyros as they ran for the bridge (tiny window to hit from my angle, shot lined up perfectly). In the same game I dominated a scout (armed with the FoN) using the frying pan. Repeatedly.

In the original Half-Life deathmatch, years ago: quadruple kill with a blind Tau Cannon shot through a wall. Me and my friends used to play that a lot during breaks at school and every day something crazy happened, but this takes the cake for me.

Playing Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword multiplayer. I was playing on the market map and was standing on the church steps. I take aim with my musket at a guy riding perpendicularly to me on a horse on the other side of the map. We're talking a fast moving target, at least 100 yards away. I headshot him.

AWESOME. And I thought my sacrifice at Boethiah's shrine was bad. I had a quest to find a pendant for a Khajiit Merchant's guard. I wasn't bothering because A: I don't use followers, and B: That character of mine was a bigot (a non-human had killed his intended bride.) But I found the shrine, so I did his quest and then said "Hey buddy... got a minute to help a brother out." Killed just so I wouldn't have to waste a human life.

And the worst thing... I was a light armor user.

In PS2 I hit another infiltrator in the head form a long ass way away when he was moving and clocked. That is a hard damn shot let me tell you. Kind of feel bad for the guy now that I think about it.

See problem with this thread is that these things usually don't seem so great unless you were there, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

I was playing Il-2: 1946... Well see now's the first problem. Basically it's this:

So now that you have an idea what it means to get a kill in this game, I can begin.

Long story short, I took off, and off in the distance I saw three planes, one behind the other. The middle one was shooting tell-tale yellow tracers of a Bf-109 (I was flying a P-40, so that means one of my guys was getting shot at), and the plane behind it wasn't shooting, so I figured that my guy had two (!) bogeys on his tail. Thankfully he was doing a good job at dodging enemy fire so I throttled up, and made a shallow dive at to save my mate. By the time I reached them he was flying directly at me and the moment I passed my teammate I opened fire head on on the first plane. By some stroke of luck (it's a difficult shot afterall) I shore off the wings of the first guy, and I quickly snapped the rudder the other way to try and scare the other guy. Well his engine stopped the moment my burst hit him, meaning I had scored two kills in two seconds, not bad if I may say so myself.
You've reminded me of a favorite kill that I had forgotten about until now.

I play Falcon 4.0: Allied Force. It runs in the same niche as IL2 in the sense that they modeled aircraft systems and flight mechanics to be as accurate as possible (Granted, it is more dated than IL2 by a LOT).

I recall on particular scramble during my North Korean campaign. Our airfield was overwhelmed by at least eight squadrons of fighters and ground attack craft. I managed to get off the ground in my F-16 (the only aircraft you can pilot in the game), and I stayed low and turned out of the fight so I could get a better angle on the enemy fighters that were swarming the area.

At first, I was able to sneak by unnoticed. There were simply too many aircraft in the air for me to attract too much attention. I had shut off my radar and made myself as small as I could while keeping my throttle just below the afterburner setting.

After retreating about 30nm, I turned to re-engage. I turned my radar back on and performed a few S-turns so allow my radar to get a better view of the battlefield. I had so many contacts that I could not tell who was friend and who was foe. The AWACS that was operating nearby had been shot down, so I could not have my targets identified for me. I picked one and waiting until I got closer to fire.

Upon reaching optimal engagement range, I let my AIM-120 loose. It streaked to its target, and I managed to score a perfect hit on a Mig-21. This, however, is not the epic moment that I am recounting. It gets FAR better from here.

As I that 30nm became 20, 15, and eventually 5nm, the other aircraft in the area began to take notice of me. Many had dispatched their targets and decided that I was easy prey. By that time, I had already used the two AIM-120s and two sidewinders that I had. I was down to guns, and it wasn't looking good.

As it happened, I just fell in behind two Mig-29s that were going around to finish off another F-16 from my squadron. They didn't see me, and I happened to be in a perfect position to gun them down. I switched on the gun funnel, lined one up and let out a few bursts. He began to billow black smoke and roll. One down.

His friend had realized where I was at this point and began to dive. It was too late for him too. I managed to get a few bursts in on him as well and take him down too.

It was probably the most satisfying air-to-air kill I have gotten in a game - ever. I managed to take down two more capable aircraft... With guns no less. I was shot up pretty bad later, and I managed to crash-land back at base before they managed to crater the runway, but I survived to fight another day!

If you aren't familiar with Falcon 4.0, Falcon 4.0: Allied Force, and/or Falcon BMS, I highly suggest you look them up. If you like the realism of IL2, then you would fit right in.

Also, my solution for the whole Dark Brotherhood initiation of trying to guess "who is the real killer" in that abandoned cabin was simply to kill everyone by lining up an ice storm spell and taking everyone out in one shot. Only way to be 100% sure. Didn't even bother asking who was the actual killer. Night mother's word is law.

Mine is in Bad Company 2:

I had just learned that you could still shoot people out of helicopters with sniper rifles, so naturally I wanted to try it. I joined a conquest match on...whatever that dusty one with the old boat is called. I pulled out my sniper and took ONE shot at an enemy helicopter, "headshot", get 1 kill, helicopter falls to the ground and was apparently covered in those satchel charges, because it landed right next to a jeep that two people were in and exploded violently. The co-pilot in the helicopter, along with both of the people in the jeep died, netting me a quad.

This all after my first attempt at something I figured I'd probably never, ever do.

There was one time in TF2, on the map cp_foundry my team was pushing on the last point.

I can't really describe what I did without a picture of foundry's second point, but unfortunately I can't find a picture. Let me try:

On the second point, there's three entrances to the last point. There's a lower left exit, a higher left exit on a hill, and a rightmost exit on a raised platform. I began by giving a quick headshot to a Soldier on the platform who was peeking. The Soldier ran inside -- pretty typical, he was sitting on a maximum of 50HP because of me. What I essentially did was stand on the bottom of the hill, aim through the left exit, and I killed someone with a headshot who was running from the right exit. This meant, however, Sniping through a TINY slit where I couldn't see nearly anything.

I actually went in game to show you it.

Headshot, and I got a domination out of it too.

Also impressive, that I remember, is getting a domination (four kills) on a Soldier using only headshots when he was rocketjumping.

Skyrim:

I stealthily made my way into the Riften orphanage to kill Grelod the Kind, I carefully positioned myself behind her while remaining undetected and went in for the killing blow.
For some strange reason I didn't have a weapon equipped and I was treated to a beautiful animation of my brute of a Nord suplexing the shit out of the old dear.

It wasn't quite the stealth kill I intended to perform but it had me in hysterics since I was certain I had a pair of daggers equipped.

Not sure if it's the best I've gotten but the most memorable was in COD2. I got a head shot from across the map through 2 windows with a single bullet from the B.A.R. LMG. When the little icon came up telling everyone what happened all I could hear over chat was laughing and the dude I shot screaming "Who the fuck snipes with a B.A.R?!"

Hmm...

I remember a few summers back, at camp, I was in a LAN Quake 3 game with my brother and a few other people. My brother and I were having a skirmish, and I ran out of ammo. So, I had to switch to the melee weapon.

I got the kill.
