What was your first MMO?

Well, I'm just one more on the pile of Runescape, what can I say, at the time I had no idea what an MMO actually was, I think I thought it was some kind of Age of Empires, except you only control one character.

Now I think about it, it might have been Guild Wars: Factions...

What a waste of time that was. I mean, maybe if it had been fun a little bit, but now that I think about it I've got a grand total of 10-20 fond memories. Compare that to the year of time (read: approximately 8,765.76 hours) I actually spent playing.

Might I suggest Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine online? It's got a decent story, good gfx, decent gameplay, far superiour character customization over WoW, and the quests are actually interesting.

Oddly enough, the Everquest 2 demo, if that counts. Its that random name generator that first came up with "Geamo", and I stuck with it. Had a good run in WoW, and now i'm MMO-less.
