What was your first online experience?

Mine was Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast.

I loved that game sooo much my phone bill used to come to £200 and my dad had no idea what internet gaming was. Totally worth it though.

Bear in mind this can be any game (MMO, FPS). Feel free just to mention the game or talk about your experience.

My first online gaming experience was Halo 3, and it was awesome, mainly because the first ever pick up I got was the missile pod, and managed to take someone out on the other side of Valhalla, and got a huge applause from team members and enemies alike.

Well the first time I used the internetz was when I wanted cheats for either GTA VC, or Starwars Jedi Academy, can't remember.

Yeah your guy would freeze in the middle of a mob - either die or then the pc would catch up and the character would zoom about the screen

I guess I am guilty of that too, but I think mine was Halo 2 for PC and as soon as I joined I got killed, just the tip of the iceburg for things to come.

yeah it sucks when people dont understand if a player is new - Counter Strike was immensly hard to just stay alive in to start with. I got the same messages. Bet you kickass now though.

I'm embarassed to say that Runescape was my first , though I grew out of that and moved on to Counter-Strike Source.

I won my first online battle . Then lost alot.

First FPS online was Quake 3, I'm happy with that choice.

Minus the phone bill problem, I used to love PSO, and the Dreamcast in general. PSO will always be my best online gaming experience to date.
