I never got into online gaming until i got my xbox 360 so my first expeirence online was playing left 4 dead. Which is my current favorite game... nothing like it online as long as you have a good group of friends
Yeah L4D is an amazing experience online - I hate spawning mid game though being surrounded by infected!

Look at all the people saying COD4 and Halo it makes me feel relay old to say that my first on-line game was either Unreal torment 1 or Balders gate.
I have a real urge to play baldur's gate for some reason!

The original Team Fortress springs to mind for me... I spent years playing it until I discovered the world of Counterstrike.

Mine was either Rainbow Six 3 on the Xbox, Counter Strike for the PC, or maybe Unreal Tournament on the PC.
Rainbow Six 3 was the first to get some serious hours out of me though, those were the days, everyone was friendly, helpful and actually nice.

I did play a little online with CS first but that was like nothing at all. When I really started playing online it was Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne.

Oh this is a fun one.

I was at my friends house when I was like eleven or something (about the same time I started to play videogames) and he was playing Unreal Tournament online talking to people through a headset. He spent like 10 minutes trying to explain to me how a microphone worked but I still acted like I had seen an UFO.

Finally he just handed me the mike and said "here, just say something". Completely baffled I said "Hej", meaning "Hello" in Swedish. My friend said "Nono silly, they're English, you can't speak to them in Swedish". So without thinking at all I put on a thick British accent and said "oh I see, would you like to have some tea". My friend just started laughing.

Not exactly my proudest moment in life, we still tend to joke about it x)

Skate, way back in 2007. Actually, that's the only one I actually remember. They may have been others before that.
