What was your first online experience?

Playing DooM 1 with my brother's friend over the net. I was about 8 or 9, couldn't type, and kept getting mauled by demons, so all I could throw out over the text chat was a few AUUUGGHHHHH!!!!'s here and there (thinking it would help, keep in mind I WAS 9).

I couldn't type fast enough to tell the guy where I was before getting killed again, so all this guy saw was a 9 year-old on his friend's doomguy shouting WAAUUGHH over and over.

DANG I miss those days.

Team Fortress 2. Still my favorite thing to play online.

TF2 is a great online shooter, mostly because it doesn't play like most other shooters that have guns that kill in .3 seconds its less about who spots who first, and more about who has the best tactics and teamwork (and ubers)

I must have been about 7 years old and since then became addicted to the internet and online games. So i cant exactly remember what my first experience was, but one of the firsts i can remember is....shhhhh....runescape...

I only realise now what a terrible mistake i had made by spending my (Like i spend it on anything better anyway ;P) time on that game...

i feel like a loser saying this but it technically was runescape even though i was on there for fifteen mins tops but my first real try at online gaming was halo 3 i had so much fun sucking at it

But my big first was World of Warcraft. I was in Virgin when i saw it for 10 euro and my friend told me that if I did not like it he would give me the 10 euro refund. Took a year and a half before I could stop. Been clean for 5 months now

Everquest 2. Played my first mmo and loved it. Played for like 3 years and met 2 people there who I've been best mates with for like 6 years since then. Needless to say it was pretty fucking awesome.

Of course I got bored and left. Yet to find a game that I loved in the same way...

Diablo 2 through dial-up. FAILURE!

Well the first time I used the internetz was when I wanted cheats for either GTA VC, or Starwars Jedi Academy, can't remember.

Yeah your guy would freeze in the middle of a mob - either die or then the pc would catch up and the character would zoom about the screen

I never got into online gaming until i got my xbox 360 so my first expeirence online was playing left 4 dead. Which is my current favorite game... nothing like it online as long as you have a good group of friends
