Don't kill the sheep, please!

Heretic...
Also, sadly, one of my earlier memories.

I believe that my first violent game was Perfect Dark, or Goldeneye 007. One of the two. Both great games for the time.

DOOM II... The 2d monsters that spurted out the exact same pixellated blood every time I shot them were really gory when I was like 2. Particularly killing the big red flying orbs that oozed blue blood and sunk to the floor. Those were awesome.

007.
My dad grounded me for weeks when he finally saw me playing it because it was too violent.
He bought it and he never even looked at the rating...

For me, I guess it would be Half-Life 2. My parents got me the orange box, mostly for portal, and I ended up playing and loving all of the other games. Up until then my parents hadn't let me play M games.

Technically that wouldve been double dragon for the game boy over 13 years ago. Ahh, I still remember how to beat the first boss. There was a trick to it. Anyway I say technically since back then I never realized the violence of this game. So when it comes to violence and gore Mortal Kombat 3 would be my second mention.

Not sure how you can say nothing like mortal combat... I remember being 4 and playing that game. It was the first time I ever really saw blood, or someones spine ripped out. Every other game you would consider "bludgeoning murder" that I played was so close together I can't remember which came first. Probably twisted metal, doom, or duke nukem. I remember good ol duke being the first game that I ever saw "nudity" in.

About 12 years ago: Goldeneye 007. Most violent thing I'd ever owned. Worst thing before that was Donkey Kong Country 2. Yeah.. I was sheltered.

But if we're talking REALLY bloody.. I guess if you count that one scene in the remastered Metal Gear Solid for the Gamecube (when Grey Fox is in that hallway slaughtering the soldiers) about five years ago, then that.

The original Resident Evil, followed by Twisted Metal (and all of its sequels).

I think the first real violent game I ever played was DOOM 64.

It isn't a big deal now, but when I was younger and I played this game. I always freaked out and couldn't get past the intro screen. I was such a shy little boy back then. . . Now Bioshock is my favoritest game in the whole wide world.

Counter Strike Source (unless you count some of Midways old arcade stuff such as Total Carnage)
