Got to be Asterix & Obelix for the Sega Master System or possibly Sonic for the Mega Drive - good times until I bent one of the Master Sytem pins and couldn't play it anymore :-(

My friend had Krusty's Super Funhouse for the NES. That entertained us until we discovered his dad's hi-fi could play tapes backwards, leading to us spending hours trying to record swear words backwards!

The first game I ever owned was Sonic 2... and I STILL SUCKED AT IT!... for the first few weeks of playing till it kinda ingrained itself into my head... I was 6 at the time so the first boss kinda threw me for awhile.

I believe that Super Mario Bros may have been my first game, thought the first game I actually owned was Mario and Yoshi on the original Game Boy. So many happy memories!

Also this thread has been done many many times, but I guess I will post anyway.
The first game I ever picked up was that very first F1 game on the PS1 and I was about 7 years old.

The first, and so far only, game I've had for a console is Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades (well, technically the first was Monsters vs. Aliens, also for DS, but I didn't want to mention that.)

If we include PC games as well, I have no idea. I have been borrowing my brothers games on the PC for as long as I can remember.

It would have had to be something on NES or Atari 2600 though.
