What was your most hilarious death?

COD 4, the death wasn't actually caused by me but was one of the funniest things I've seen someone do. So it starts as a normal game of Search and Destroy on strike, when one of the players on my team does the old 'throw a nade in the enemy's direction at the beginning to get a cheap kill trick'. Normally this is not a problem but this time it back fires spectacularly.

The guy throws the nade which bounces of the lamp post in front and goes off next to a car, the resulting explosions kills all team embers 5 seconds into the game except 1 player. The kill cam was hilarious and everyone just laughed. Needless to say we lost that round as we had one person attacking.

Just a few moments ago, I was playing Deus Ex: Invisible War, and as I began running up a flight of stairs, my character went right through them and fell into the giant endless abyss that surrounds the dungeons in every game.......

I've never experienced that before (unless I've used cheats, but I didn't here, I swear!)

Back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, and I played EVE Online I was know as 'Friendly Fire' because I killed more people that I wasn't suppose to kill in pvp than I did people I was suppose to kill. Ouch, long sentence.

Anyway, I was in charge of a gang of 30(ish) and we were sitting outside of a POS (player owned station) with this group of my alliance mates. We were preparing to warp on some hostiles to kill them. POSs are (usually) heavily defended structures that have plenty of firepower to fend of small - medium size gangs. This one was leading more toward the medium, so it made a great safe haven while we tracked them down.

We were all talking over TS (Teamspeak) while one of our buddies tracked down and set up a spot for us to warp on the hostiles. Over TS, some guy who is new to our alliance, starts talking about I-don't-know-what, but the end result is that we all get super pissed at him. Eventually, because I am in charge of this gang I tell everyone to lock him, just to scare him a little. For those of you who don't know, when you die in EVE you loose you ship and half the stuff on it, so dieing in this MMO is much more harsh than in others.

He doesn't really get the message though, so I give the order to open fire. Now... I had forgotten completely that we were sitting at a POS... and that they have a tendency to shoot anyone who shoots friendlies. I was the first that opened fire, so the entire force of this POS is focusing on me. After that, I gave the order to warp off because the POS was shooting at everyone who attacked him. About half of the people were smart enough NOT to shoot, although looking back I should have harassed them about not following orders Four more people died.

I lost a fairly pricey ship too. For those who might know this game, I was in a HAC, an Eagle to be specific, and this was back when HACs were new. This set me back a little bit. I tell ya though, I almost fell out of my chair laughing so hard at my own idiocy. It was awesome.

You silly bastard.

I dont really have any epic deaths in any games to be honest. They are all quite meh.

Playing multiplayer Goldeneye, one of the weapons was proximity mines. i was killed and when i re-spawned i was directly on top of a mine which killed me instantly, they all thought it was hilarious.

It was a 1 on 1 in css, me and a friend. One bout we encountered each other numerous times and made cleanish getaways until we worked each other down to like less than 10 health, oh btw this was the dust2 map, it was nail biting at this stage. I catch him unawares going over the tunnel towards "A". He didn't know i was below him so i decided to be a little extravagant with my kill and throw a grenade. Threw it, hits the bridge bounces back to me - explodes in my face and die. lol

ooo one thing i forgot, while playing perfect dark with a Few freinds, we threw on dark Sims, and Just Mines, proximity mines, timed mines, detinating ones well we all went our different ways throwing mines as we went, well that sim(as i recall) was the only one that threw mines, we had been laughing at it for a while trying to get to us and dying, it had only gone 1 path, so it gets in the room and throws a mine, now mid way between us and it his mine blew up on trigger cause of the mine we set off, well we backed up into a misplaced proxy that left us respawning and dying for a good 10 minutes

I think the funniest death I've ever experienced in a videogame has been the countless times in the original Grand Theft Auto I've stepped out of the hospital, taken two steps across the pavement and been run over by a car with bad pathfinding programming.

The best bit is spawning at the hospital again and watching your corpse decompose.

Mines has to be, Driving in a Mongoose on Halo 3 and having my friend throw a grenade infront of it resulting in me careenining hard into a bunch of fusion coils. Resulting in my death.

death by trip mine for no joke over 45 minutes.

We set the stats in Agent Under Fire to movement spd 222, All Trip Mines (with MRL22) and Low Gravity.
We coated the inside of the castle level with trip mines, 3 of my buddies and I.
and then, with the gregarious shout of GO GO GO like we were unloading on Omaha Beach, We slowjumped into the fiery deathnet we had created.

Constant explosions. we kept running, nose to the ground, placing little lazermines all over the place until the PS2 literally crashed with the pwnage. It took a little under 50 minutes, cause the timer said 15 minutes remaining only moments before we all were suspended in midair and could hear a laborious click issuing from the should-be-smoking console.

Splitscreen deathmatch, I have the rockets. I leap at my friend, about to send him to Kingdom Come in a matchbox, and he whips out a shotgun and ragdolls me a good 10 metres, head over heels.

I got raped by a traffic cone on the pit, i shot the fusion coil and the cone hit me in the face.

And then another time on narrows i took the cannon man and one of my teammates beat down a guy in the opposite cannon and his dead body hit me and made me fall to my death.

Death is fun...in video games.
