A lot of people are saying that she's like Madonna in terms of image.
I don't see that.
What I see is a female version of Marilyn Manson.
Shock value used as promotion.
things associated with sex used in a non-sexual way.
Perversion in video clipsfor increased media coverage.
Acting bat shit insane to keep the gossip about her going.
"What will she do next?
Will she put a miniature of the Eifel Tower into her anus and shout "Viva la France"?
OMG!!! She's got machine guns comming out of her boobs!!!
That's so edgy and provocative!"
And in the article, she's probably babbling on about how she just wants to express herself or some other shit like that.
There's probably also a hint (or maybe more than that) that she's so out there and excentric.
Maybe there's some weak anti war message there as well.
Or pro war, yeah.
That would be even provocativier!!!

point #1: as to her being a man..umm ok...she was an exotic dancer at a gentlemen's club before she made it big, theory hole #1
point #2: as to her having no musical talent, look up some of her non mainstream videos on youtube where she plays classical piano and things like that
and finally point #3: she has recently dethroned the king of pop as having the most #1 releases off of a single album...so sorry to those hoping she's going to disappear...seems like she's about to have a lot longer than 15 minutes

Marilyn Manson is a very intelligent person too.
They both think alike, in my opinion.
They know that music alone is not enough to make it as an international celebrity (one hit wonders aside).
Just as Manson was putting on a show for everyone in the past, Gaga is putting on a show now.
Their moves may look stupid and risky but they know what they're doing.
Even before Manson, others have done it and succeded.
KISS is a good example.
In the 80's and the early 90's Kiss were considered a "bad influence" for the youth.
In the late 90's and the early 00's (that's how you write this, right? But how do you say it? the two thousands? The double Ohs? Just being curious here.) it was Eminem and Manson.
Now it's Lady Gaga.
I'm willing to bet ANYTHING that at least one artist will use the same tactics and become successful thanks to it within the next 10 years.
