I think it was Madonna who said She didn't get famous for her singing but for the message she was trying to convey...or something like that.

And her music is great.

I thought the same thing when i heard an interview with her on the radio. She was so mellow and the way she talked about her music and the themes on her albums made her seem so smart.

But i also heard one with Megan Fox on the same station, and she used lots of big words and also sounded smart. Then i realized that she is an actor and the entire thing was most probably scripted.

I have never checked the credits for her songs, who writes most of them? If she does have a lot of input in the writing then i can respect that.

It's like listening to Marilyn Manson talk. He know business, he knows religious protesters will be his free advertising and rebellious kids will show up buy his cd's and t-shirts in the name of "My folks don't get me." and while the church calls him the king of evil like Ozzy, what's he put out? Songs about drugs and evil sounding 80's covers. And he will make even more money.

Even if it's not your music scene. They know business and they know what sells. It's just not shock value and being in the spotlight...it's about doing that and making money with it. She knows what the market wants, can play a piano, can play it good enough to duet with Elton John. She does have talent...

But I think her strong talent is not Poker face and the Vegas dancer outfits. But this least pays the bills till you make enough you can do what you want.
