I only watched a few and I'll go with Supernatural.

Haven't really been watching loads of series lately...

Shameless on Showtime, interesting characters if somewhat one-dimensional characters. Love it just the same

I would be remiss in not saying MLP:FIM.

But I actually do love The Big Bang Theory so that would be a close second.

How I met Your Mother and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Both are great shows. HIMYM is the best sitcom since Seinfeld.

The Wire. It's my show of the year EVERY year.
Pretty much. It really is one of those shows that exceeds expectations, even when everyone raves about it. Easily the best television show ever made.

Breaking fuckin' Bad.
Second is Justified.
Followed by Game of Thrones, Community, and Vampire Diaries (YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT)

Probably Game of Thrones. Great cast, great directing, love the setting... I think the whole show is just stellar. Can't wait for season 2.

Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Misfits, Doctor Who and Boardwalk Empire, in that order.

Normally Doctor Who would be higher, but those top three really knocked it out of the park for me. I haven't craved the next episode of a show (let alone three) in a long time (funnily enough last time it was for Heroes, what can I say I had terrible taste).

Community. Honorable mentions go to Justified and Breaking Bad.

Community is too streets ahead of any other comedy.

Black mirror and Sherlock best things all year.
Sherlock was 2012 ;)

And I know it wasn't released last year, but 2011 was the first time I watched Lucky Star. And that's one of my favourite TV shows of all time now - my first 'proper' animé.

Since LS was your first "proper" anime, I'm surprised you enjoyed it. So many of the jokes are anime/Japanese pop-culture references, did you understand many of them?

Can we count animes? If we can then Usagi Drop, sweet, thoughtful and features the most adorable little girl ever.

If not then It's always Sunny in Philadelphia becasue I don't watch that much new TV outside of anime and this is the closest I got.
Animes count, just because they don't feature regularly in the states or Australia doesn't mean anything.

Dexter, Archer, The Middle and Glee from what I saw. They are still good as they were. Others I watch have not been up to standard (Glee was going that way in season 2, defintely improved in season 3).
