I think we should wage war with the moon. Then when all the soldiers are their, I'll take over the government, and set up a cabinet run by my escapists friends. And I'll be supreme Dictator.
You can't invade the Moon! How can you invade that face?
I will send soldiers their, and as they die from lack a of air, I will start a mass genocide.

Starting with you.
The moon will annihilate you. After all, was it not the moon who once said, "Space is the place, where the violence lives." Yes that's right, the moon can kick your ass.

There oughtn't be another war. Our economy is so screwed up so far right now that we can't afford to do anything but sit down and fix it.
Not only that, but war isn't generally a nice thing.
Yeah, go figure eh?

I just finished re-watching the 'Band of Brothers' HBO series (If you haven't seen it, do yourself a huge favour and watch it), and after listening to the survivors talk about their ordeals, and watching grown, grizzled veterans break down in tears at the memory of what they've seen really reinforces the seemingly unpopular notion that war is a terrible thing.

Don't get me wrong: I have nothing but respect for the men and women who serve their country. And sometimes, and unfortunately, war is unavoidable (WW2, for example). But the last thing any country should be doing is LOOKING for a war to get into. That isn't a slam against Americans, either. That goes for any country, anywhere, at any time.

Sorry to sound like an after-school special. But I'd like to see less memorials being put up for the new casualties, and more word on peace talks and cease-fires.

If the war is on a world wide scale i can see why a soldiers life would turn into a constant battle with them self.

Most soldiers go crazy and go on a killing spree or start to go quiet and go lone wolf.

Don't worry. There will be plenty more wars. After all, there's no such thing as an ally. Just an enemy who hasn't disagreed with you yet.

There will be wars in the future. In fact (just to worry everyone) I predict that a new war is just around the corner, because Britain, America and France are going to make a super star tag team against one of the sides fighting in Gaza, or possibly both sides.

oh and by the way, in response to:

I'm thinking one of the poles, with all these wars causing so many casulties i think we should invade somewhere where there isnt anyone to shoot back and therefore we can claim complete victory and improve publics trust in the government
You think Poland can't defend itself?

And they attacked German tanks with cavalry. Cavalry. That's one brave move.
That photo looks suspiciously modern to me. What were they doing attacking German tanks? A bit of late payback?

Also what's so impressive about them attacking tanks with cavalry? Russian children in WW2 attacked German tanks on foot.

I'm sure the Poles still used explosives to attack the tanks, they just had the advantage of the extra mobility & speed from being on horseback...unless they actually charged them on horseback with sabres, then that would be "brave". Don Quixote brave.

World War II fixed our economy the last time we had a depression. I'm not saying that I want another world war just to fix our economy, but it probably would.

The next war might well be fought in eastern Europe against Russia. We are not exactly on bad terms with them right now but their recent skirmish with Georgia was due in part to their agitation that NATO is moving closer and closer to their borders. I really can't see any large scale war breaking out with them any time soon, but it is possible.

And to whomever mentioned that we are taking so many casualties in Iraq, our casualties in that war are nothing compared to our casualties in past wars. The Iraq estimate right now is 4,221 for the U.S. To again reference WW2, U.S. casualties are estimated at roughly 490,000 in a shorter time span than Iraq.

I'm talking about World War Two with the cavalry. And they used sabres and spears, with the occasional rifle. Haven't you seen the iconic photos? They're truly inspiring.

Unsurprisingly, they got severely beaten.

As far as I've heard, Australia and New Zealand are going to team up to fight Greenland and the Arctic.

Wow, that really is brave. A bit shit for the horses though.
