Funny story, I woke up at 20 to six and turned on my computer. When I saw the World 'Was Going To End thing online it was 6:01. I looked outside and the sky was red from the sun lighting up the morning fog. So then I started playing minecraft. I didn't really believe the story in the first place. What I believe in even less is that the man who started the story still says it is true... :/
Drinking beer and playing my newly acquired copy of Dragon Age 2. Something occured to me. If it was supposed to end at 6:00 PM but at 6:00PM where? Because for something to end at a specific time it would let's say start in China and moved over to the right into different timezones until the world ended. A rolling apocalyspe. These people have to learn standard time.
Went to a party and got smashed. It was actually completely unrelated to the whole "end of the world" thing though, just a birthday party. I think someone mentioned it once or something.
I was buying tickets to see Pirates 4...wait...oh no...oh God...no, no, no. It can't be. Maybe my tickets...oh God...because of me they're going to have just enough money to produce a fifth movie! What have I done? I've started an avalanche that will bring about the end! The end, I tell you! Run, run while you can! You can't catch me, I'm the ginger bread man! Hahahahaha! *runs away cackling maniacally into the hills*
i was perfecting the world that I will use for my Minecraft server. I also had a major self revelation and wondered if that was supposed to be my "if only" thing to think about in hell. But instead I had the chance to build that spleef arena and continued to mine.
I was on a date, hoping that the rapture might bring about a bit of the ol' end-of-the-world-sexy-time. It didn't, but the date was enjoyable nonetheless.
I was at a friends party celebrating his college graduation. Luckily we were in a church but after the bbq buffet I completely lost interest in time. Someone eventually remarked that it was "five past the apocalypse" while I was commenting about the eighties haircut my friend's dad had in all of my friend's baby pictures. There was a cub scout bridging over ceremony going on outside as the church sponsors a couple packs so I guess the whole day was about saying goodbye to one stage in life and moving on to the next.
I heard about it during the week, laughed at the stupid people and promptly forgot about it. It wasn't til I saw something on the Escapist on Sunday that I remembered and laughed again.
Watching Toy Story 3, I hadn't seen it and recorded for my viewing pleasure. The end of the world seemed the perfect time to catch up on all the shows I had missed.
